To start with, I do like the idea of increasing the chances of a no kits game.
Let's try sticking with 3 games played to make this statistical model smaller and simple.

Let's use the current 1/8 chance to start with.
Chance of all 3 games to be kit games : 66.992%, 70% rounded. (343/512 x 100 , or ((7/8)^3) x 100)
Chance for all 3 games to be no kit games : 0.195 , 0.2% rounded. (1/512 x 100, or ((1/8)^3 x 100)
Chance for at least 1 no kit game among the three: 28.7&, 29% rounded.

Conclusion : Getting one no kit game is possible, but all 3 to be kits is more likely to happen
Now, we'll compare results if we made the chances go down to 1/4 (We have 4 arenas now, it's sensible to reduce it to this number).
Chance of all games to be kit games: 42.1875%, 42% rounded.
Chance of all games to be no kit games: 1.56%, 2% rounded.
Chance of at least 1 no kit game: 42.1875%, 42% rounded
Conclusion: The chances of getting 1 no kit game among three SG games is equal to all 3 of them being kit games, I believe 1/4 is a suitable number to use.

 

I think you need to refresh your definition of a donation

 

How about kitters recieve less reward for each kit they use, each kit dropping reward by 20 percent

i agree with this 100% lets be realistic if we were to change sg's to 1/2 chance of a no kit game, that would mean that everyone's kits would refresh literally every other game. To me thats absolutely astonishing that this could even be a possibility, and if this does change then take all my pp kits away please and just give me the 30 minute cooldown as i know i will have my kits every other game anyway.

If it were to be 1/2 chance of kit free games, the bonus prices would need to be lowered.

 

Just to touch on this...the way you said it originally implied that the only way that kitters make money is by SG, and builders should go elsewhere. So, jrg kinda has a valid point in that kitters have other ways to make money too. EDIT: Saw other posts, ditto.

As for the matter at hand, 1/4 is fine. I have more + kits than ++ (3 to 2) and I use them almost as much. Let's not take even more away from kitters.

 

U guys r so ridiculous always complaining about sg. U don't like how it is? DON'T PLAY! It's as simple as that.

I saw a suggestion though that brought up voting for kit free. I think if you remove 1/4 chance and add that it will be ok. If its 1/2 or 1/3 I'd say refunds or coupons would need to happen since kits would become useless.

 

For those who follow the notion: "Don't like, don't play," It's not that simple. Those who don't have the infinite kits really don't stand much of a chance against those with kits. It removed the chance of a fair game for them as they knew they are already screwed. Many people just see it as unfair as people who have infinite kits constantly win. Let's be for real here xD When you're online, don't you essentially see the same 3 or 4 people winning on peak traffic? It's virtually impossible to beat a person with the armor kit, buffer, and miq with a single kit, let alone no kits. It's pretty fair to increase the amount of kit free games a little bit just to keep the edge of kits and to satisfy those without kits. This is a bit off topic, but I think kits would be more fair if the user could call in a chest 30 seconds into the game with their items to prevent user stalking. It's kind of annoying to see people completely decked out showing off their gear and you just sitting with nothing or one sword :| Also, it gives others a chance to grab other's kits if they don't call in their chest at a good time. That's just my two cents on the increase in odds for kit free games.

Also, to be truly skilled at the game, you should be able to win with or without your kit. Even without a competitive edge, you should be able to win the game.

 

Ask yourself. If you had $200+ in kits, would you get your money worth with 1/2 or 1/3. Give me a $200 gift card or coupon code and I'm in.

Remove plus plus kits and everything will be alright.

 

I personally think that it should stay 1/4, im not a 'heavy kit user' like all the other big sg'ers , eg 3point exil bttp. I only have miq++,pf++,cc++,bfr++ and spy.

But as others said, I know it's a 'donation', but we reviewed what we were donating for. We checked out what we would get when we donated, to make sure we get our money's worth.

Especially ++ kits, if it even chose to go to 50% chance no kit, there would literally be no point in ++ kits and would cause huge arguments. Because even if you had just bfr, no + or ++ it's almost certain you'll get it back next time it's a kit game, because it will have been a no kit game which will refresh your kits. Just my 2 cents, I don't think it should be changed. It is fine the way it is right now and most people are happy.

If you don't like sg and kits, always remember that there's 1/4 no kit chance, if it's a kit game, just leave. No point in letting us hear your complaining cause we're not interested...( no offence)

 

it should really be 1/3 or 1/2.
