I only learned the other day that you cannot [properly] farm sheep anymore... Which really does make these wool prices - pardon me - a bit bullsh**. It is not like wool is used for tools, can be enchanted, make you fly around like a bird etc; they are purely decoration and give users no real benefit. Prices shouldn't be so high.

On the other hand, I have no idea on clay... I don't have the brain-y abilities or math skills to figure out the time + cost to even get hardened clay + dyes. However, with every mining world reset, there is more clay to be farmed.

 

Seriously wool is rare enough as is, the only person to ever really "use" wool on a huge scale is yourself, wolvie, which leads me to believe you are suggesting this for personal gain in your gallery as well, not just the server's good.

Though I agree they need to be lowered.

Wool is never used for anything useful. Just decoration. I might as well buy $2000 dolars worth of dirt for the price of wool. Seriously, these prices are crazy. If you really want money OUT of the economy and less IN then lower the prices so more people actually take money OUT of the economy.

 

Then don't buy at the wool store. Grab some shears and hack up some sheep in the mining world. :D

Huge scale. "My buildings" isn't the same as 9 towns dedicated to wool.

SHEEP ARE RARE IN THE MINING WORLD!!!! WHAT HAPPENS IF WE NEED 1000 OR MORE WOOL FOR A PROJECT THEN WHAT, WAIT SEVERAL WEEKS AND TRY TO FIND 300+ SHEEP?!?!!?

 

I'm guessing the server store is over priced because they want you to trade with players instead of just buying it from the server. And if you do buy from the server store, it takes away money from the economy (that's a good thing)

 

Wool prices have been over inflated. If they want us to start farming wool the old fashion way then gives us a viable way of doing it. But all I see that leading to is mass lag from breeding thousands of sheep.

 

Wool is limited though. We don't have a good source of sheep and the only way to get large quantities is from the server store. Also no squids means we loose a lot of our dyes completely.

 

I didn't mind the old prices so much, I wouldnt mind if there was a better reward for bulk buying ie closer to the old price than what it currently is. Glock have you ever tried to farm sheep? You need a decent sized herd before you can get big enough scales of sheep to get enough wool, hard to do with butchers you need to gather the herd every 15 mins.
