The problem is using rockdassie's Reed farm people can make 17k a hour. A price change would
Mean they would be making far too much money.

 

RockDassie hasn't been on and I don't think he's coming back for a while and only three people have perms to his town.
Anyway, I do agree that sugarcane should be increased. It is a little low at the moment.

 

+1 should be raised back to .40. Cane make the least amount of money atm and needs some lovin

 

Only 1 person has a farm big enough to make 15k an hour farming sugarcane. so in order to make that amount you must buy fly donation $60usd and spend 200 plus hours building the farm. Not to mention building a cane farm is the hardest of all crops to build. I have a 16x32x45 took me over 70 hours to build and i have fly my farm makes 3k/hour. now I also built a 100x100x4 melon farm witch makes 10k an hour and took about the same time to build.

 

Reeds are just fine, as some of you may know, I decided upon this price when I was a GA.
I picked this price because I could make 20k an hour with 0.40, now it's 15k an hour.
This is good because reedfarming does not require any donation features.

 

So you made 15k/hour without fly? if so what size farm do you use? and does'nt pumpkins/melons/wheat make more closer to 20k an hour?

 

Well that sounds legit as you can't really to use fly to benefit reed farming faster than speed 3.

 

yes but that speed 3 could be the difference between making 12k and 15k an hour.

 

Rockdassie(the owner of the server's biggest reed farm) reports up I believe 18k per hour with reeds at their current price at the fastest you can break them. (speed 3)

 

I believe it was roughly 30x70, and I built it up till 14 floors at that point.

Please note that a different farm layout+farming technique is what makes the difference, I've had many months of experience with reed farming seeing as I've been on ECC for 17 months and reed farming was the only way to make a living. (And there was no fly back then)
We've perfected farming without fly, and that is why reeds won't receive a price increase.

pumpkins/melons require eff 5 and fly to reach 20k, wheat requires an immense farm to be that profitable.

 

Melon has no benefit with fly, even with Eff V you still don't even destroy blocks at walking speed.

 

crouching + speed 3 is better than walking.

Yes im familiar with rocks farm and hourly income from it and its more like 14-16k an hour according to him last ive talked to him. he also uses speed so lets lay he makes 16k/hour take away that .3 speed and your making 13k an hour. Not hear to start a debate about it really just sayin.

 

That's why I said it's better, it's slightly slower than walking speed.
