They would be more if the mining world didn't regenerate. But they could go up.

True, saddles are rare and $250 just doesn´t make it. Approved! :D

 

I did not know the price of saddles the first time I came across them, and as my inventory was full, I chose to take two iron ingots from a mining chest rather than two saddles. Later, I came to find out they were worth $500 altogether, and that they can't be crafted. How I regret taking two iron ingots instead. If any of you want to track the chest down, it's near and around the south coast, by Sinder33's town, Cookietown, KMaxwell's Town, all there.

Anyhow, back to the suggestion. I don't think $400 is enough, I'd value them $1,000 each, given that they're so rare, and mining world regeneration doesn't really affect saddles too much, I find, and $1,000 each should be perfect.

Though I believe the first part of this and that saddles aren't very common (hence the need for the price rise), I'd like to put a saddle on a pig as soon as 1.4 comes out and ECC approves of me installing it, so I can drive the pig around. It's useful in the mining world if you need to go long distances, and maybe there's even a market for saddles. I wish pigs could be allowed in the main world, so I can drive around town with a piggy :(

 

I agree that since in 1.4 saddles become more useful...not completely useless...that thier price should be raised again.

Don't you think that only the rich should be able to ride around town on pigs? ;P

 

how come saddles are worth only $0.05???? I lost a lot of money while selling 4 saddles and all i got was $0.20!!!

There is currently a bug/glitch with saddles. When this is fixed, their price will be bumped back up

Let the market decide the price. If they are so rare maybe you could disable selling them to the server, like diamonds. I never looked at them as really hard to find if you put some effort in finding caves.

 

I find them pretty difficult to find, especially for the people to scared to go into the mining world (where most if not all dungeons remain). I support the idea of making them unselable to the server, or increasing the price more.
$400 is about the price of one stack of iron ingots, but I'm sure you dont find a saddle for every stack of iron you find.
