Welcome to a real economy... benefits the rich but people still do not realize how many melon swords there are. Melons are literaly pushing EVERYTHING out of the way. People werent making ebough to match the price of a melon sword, and it lowered. Now pumpkins and pumpkin axes are lowering and nobody is listening. Anything but .50 cents or lower. This is gettin outrageous. +1
EcoCityCraft is a Hardcore Economy server for a reason. It's meant to be hard to get the 'easy' life. Also, to those saying that melon farmers have it easy, remember that they were once walking the path you are now, pumpkin farming.
EXACTLY!!! I had to farm for 5 hours, for a week with pumpkins to get even close to my melonsword. I had to make a payment plan (I dont recommend these) and it was not fun. Me and my friend had to do an all nighter farming a mix of pumpkins with eff5 axe and melons with eff5 pick. It was not easy and believe me melon farming is still NOT easy.
So does that mean this hardcore server gets easier? It doesnt name sense. You make tons of money off of melons and renting swords. How often are pumpkin axes rented? anf when they walked the path pumpkins were actually profitable. With the amount of melon swords, ecoleader is going to get less and less rare.
Bwahahaha this is halarious! Even with my melonsword its still not bringing in profit like it USED TO! Pumpkin prices do not need to be highered, however like I have said before... If they do get raised make em $.55 and melons $2! You can do other things than FARM 24/7 ITS BORING!!! You can mine. I yeild around 23-25k/hour at spawnshops!!! Mining is a great way to get money and less boring...
Lets make this simple. Don't expect to buy a $6,000 axe and make more than what a $350,000 melon sword makes.
How much do you really make with the melon sword? I don't see it being anymore than pumpkins, I farm 2 rows of pumpkins at once at running speed, melon swords aren't even instant break, I did a test before, I made $3k per 10 min ($18k/hr) at walking speed while pumpkin farming, haven't tested running speed, 1.3x speed would be $4k per 10 min times 6 = $24k per hour
Hello, I just figured I'd clarify in laymen's terms why pumpkins were lowered to $.50 in the first place: A melon sword costs 1500 nstars, or $225,000 at server price ($350,000+ user price). Fly costs $60, which is $300,000-$360,000 user-to-user when buying giftcards in today's economy. Speed potions are like $2 per minute 1st problem: Many people's logic was that a melon sword and fly both cost about the same, and you need each in order to farm each respective crop. However, kuke and many other staff members/players proved that you definitely don't actually NEED fly to make the same profit you would farming melons with a melon sword - you can very easily use speed potions. 2nd problem: Equating a donation feature (especially one like fly) to a melon sword will never be possible. There is simply no way to really put a price on each in similar units. Fly allows users SO much more than just "pumpkin farming", and obviously there's not much you can do with a melon sword besides melon farming. Not only that, but the "price" for fly in ecodollars is completely subjective, depending on who is selling what gift cards for what money - that is not at all a reliable factor when determining official server prices. There are also a couple smaller reasons that these prices are the way that they are, but basically, pumpkin prices will not go back up. Melons are the superior crop because they can ONLY be farmed with a melon sword, which is ONLY available through 1500 nstars. They are very exclusive, and have been for a while, and it is highly likely that melons will be the superior crop for a long time. Sorry
This is acceptable. Anything, literally anything above 50 cents. I would be find with melons going to $2 along with pumpkin at 55 or 60 cents.
