There's currently a bug with Obsidian, that's why it was lowered. The pricing should go back up once it's fixed.

 

I think but I'm not positive that it has something to do with the fast break on the CJB mod that is currently enabled and needs to be disabled asap. CJB Fast break

 

That shouldn't be the case, seeing as fastbreak only removes the time between breaking blocks (similar to clickmining for those who know what that is)

 

Obsidian has had its price lowered from $10.00 to $0.05, an unprecedented 2000% drop, because of an exploit found by a user which enabled the breaking of it incredibly quickly, similar to CJB fast break or nodus nuker.

 

And obsidian was way too overpriced.... like i get $100 of redstone in 10 min, then $500 of obsidian in 5 min.

 

That`s saying you can harvest it without burning it or killing yourself :p

 

You're invincible to Lava/Fire damage if you buy Pyro+...

 

Or fire resist potion or just fire prot 4 armor or prot 3-4 armor :p That is, diamond of course.

 

I hope once the bug is fixed the price will remain $10. Back when I was getting res it was a nice way to mine and make money, without making too much to be overpowered.

 

You don't seem to count all the other things you get with mining, and you can get roughly 1.2k 5 minutes(with fly and pyroplus), which is roughly 13k an hour, which is roughly the same as mining and lower than farming.
The previous price of $10 was good.

The current price of $2.50 is way too low. An obsidian farmer before the price change could make about 10K/hour (without cheats). This amount is mediocre to farming and even mining. Also, keep in mind that obsidian farmers are users who have donated over $45 to this server ($30 for Pyro/Pyro+ and $15 for Water). I would like our donators to be able to have an alternative source of money that can make at least a mediocre amount.

This is the reason why I disagree with obsidian being so expensive.
