To further explain my reasoning I would just like to say melon farming is extremely boring so my obvious, better choice would have to be Eff 7. I also find that they can be more profitable at points.

If you're wondering what star tool to get yourself, I would suggest a melon sword because you can continue making money even while moderating spawn (if you guys built the spawn farm yet). *doh i missed

eff7, mining is to excitement as melon farming is to finger-aching

 

Melon sword. Reason why I choose that?
1. I have my own personal 600x12x36 Melon farm.
2. I have minecraft on one monitor and anime playing on the second.
3. I remap my walking key to right click so I only have to use one hand.

 

Smart man. Gotta try that some time...

 

Eff 7:
I make far better profit by mining than by farming, even with speed 10...
Plus I never die in lava anymore (pyro+) So I do really fast strip mining, without worring about looking around carefully as not to fall in lava.
The exp you make while mining helps push the profits up, and with mining (unlike farming) you can sell the items to shops which pay more, instead of to the server.

Only reason I can think that the M-sword is better is the profits would be much more even, and if the mining world was totally mined out you'd still make money. This is especially true if you have your own huge melon farm, where there is no competition for farming.

that's because I find it entertaining walk around explore stuff find other people's stuff they left behind get bothered by skeletons zombies and other creepy crawlers as oppose to just braking melons over and over and over again :(
But that's just me.

 

Definitely an eff7. I can't stand the monotony of melon farming

 

I personally enjoy the melon sword. It represents the epitome of farming culture.

From these two choices, Eff7. I've never used any of the Star tools, but I'd most enjoy mining. I hate the whole concept of farming, lol.

 

Eff7 makes more, but I find it easier to use a melon sword, I just pull up netflix and use E key to hit, and W to walk forward.

 

Efficiency 7 pick.

 

I can live without a melon sword while I can't envision my ECC life without an eff 7.
That being said, although eff 7 does make more money per hour, I find that I often make more money
from melon farming since it is mentally less tiring to do over a longer period of time.

 

I currently have a melon sword. I like it because I can make an efficient set of money per hour. I would love to own an Efficiency 7 Diamond Pickaxe, but don't have the money for it right now. By the way, when is MineWars, will it be held this Saturday, April 26, 2014?
