I want to get the public opinion on this, Transparent Toaster Inc. is doing major stuff to re-open. One of the topics me and 4tee looked at is, when people make a large order and we have to put the stuff somewhere for them to get to, should it be in a chest or a trade sign?
Let me list a few pros and cons here.
Signs-
Pros: Less space, confirms payment, less clicking.
Cons:If you don't have enough inventory space, and items go flying everywhere. Also only one person can set it up, a problem with having 2 people running the company, me/4tee. It's also complicated if you don't know how to do it.
Chests-
Pros: More then one person can access it. Items won't go flying everywhere without enough inventory space.
Cons: Takes up space, doesn't confirm payment, more clicking.
So please cast your vote, we are interested in seeing public opinion, and if wanted, leave a comment explaining why or why not something is a good idea.
?
Which is better? Chest pickup or Trade sign pickup?

But I prefer chests. You can cmodify em, unlike signs where only one person can use em. -
Hmm.. I guess, but we can see what other people think. And basically the only reason i posted was so i could watch this thread, i forgot about the watch button

I would prefer a chest. As stated before you can cmodify them to give other people permission to get into it. You could also confirm the payments (I don't know your business so excuse me if this doesn't work) by putting signs on the chest by holding down shift. The space thing is a bit of an issue, but not that big of a deal unless your headquarters are really small. Two double chests on top of each other is over 7500 items with 64 stacks.
Shortened version: Chests all the way! -
Trades signs actually got fixed so that when you break it, it will only fill up your inventory with as much space as you have and then replace the sign with the remainder of the stock that couldn't fit in your inventory.
So you can check that off your list of arguments against it.-

I tested it yesterday after reading, and the sign "breaks", but then immediately repairs itself with the new amount. So the final result is exactly what you think: 9 stacks in your inventory and the final stack stays in the sign.
Now I don;t know how long it has been like this (days I am guessing). But I am not going to rely on it too much until I know it is here to stay. I just have a feeling some people are going to find a way to abuse it, and it will be turned off for fine tuning, and I'll be stuck with a sign with 10k sand blocks and no way to get them out safely. -
