Bertigstadt Skyline from the Ecobahn
Hi All,
My previous thread for Bertigstadt became more of a town discussion than a plot/ prebuilt selling tool. This thread is purely for buying/ selling properties in Bertigstadt (Bertig City in German). The town's themed modern, with skyscrapers in its downtown, and houses in its outer region. It currently has the following amenities:
Portal in the Rising Towns, Floor 5, Lapis Lazuli Blue Ring
1/3 Scale Sears Tower
1/3 Scale Aon Center in Los Angeles
Falling Water, a Frank Lloyd Wright home
Cathedral based on the Cologne Cathedral
Inner City Elevated Tramway with five stations
Interstate highway linking Bertigstadt to its outlying towns: Currently only Strauchstadt is claimed. Routes aptly named the Ecobahn
Named streets
Addressed plots
Secured Storage for up to 16 horses
100+ block boardwalk along the sea
Town is NOT flattened or deforested- natural plains/ forest landscape have been terraformed and augmented for building
Bertigstadt has the following available:
Free Build (See Rules Below)
1 25x20 on a large bluff overlooking the sea $5500 (Largest available plot in the town!)
29 other plots, ranging from 10x10s to 16x10s $1000-$3000
2 21x21 downtown plots $6000
(Some excess land not plotted yet)
Skyscrapers:
Aon Center: 19 floors, each 11x18, 4 blocks high $1000- $2000 (varies based on floor height)
Sears Tower: 34 floors, vary from 23x23 to to 15x7, all 4 blocks high $2000-$3000 (depends on selection)
Bertig Place: 6 floors, 15x17, 5 blocks high (+ shaped floors) $3000-$5000.
(These are fully customizable floors with lots of corner windows and a waterfront location! Building comes with stone subfloors/ ceilings. Floor and ceiling material above/below this layer is 100% customizable!)
Quartz Centre: 8 floors, 15x8 4 blocks high $800-$1200
Simpson Building: 4 L shaped floors, 18x18x8 wings, 4 blocks high. (divisible to half wings) $1500
Penthouse w/ both wings, 2 rooftop terraces, 3 8x8 crown floors- $8500
Prebuilt Homes:
3 5x5 three story brick row houses in downtown, 4 block floors, full basements. $750
General Rules:
1. No griefing!! Vandalism= eviction, please don't steal. You'll only be evicted and possibly banned.
2. No farms in skyscrapers or on plots!
3. Don't be an unpleasant resident.
4. Have Fun!!
Free Building Rules:
1. height limit is 8-10 blocks for vertical walls for any plot not in downtown.
2. Plots can be combined, but no more than two adjoining.
3. Downtown height limits regulated based on plot location.
4. Please only build modern structures, no dirt huts, castles, or anything of the like.
Skyscrapers:
1. Don't link floors via any method other than each tower's preexisting lifts.
2. Report any accidentally broken glass so that I may repair it.
3. If you lock doors to your floor, I need to be given access so I can periodically check the condition of the building. Basically a land lord setup, I can see but not touch.
Visit this link to see more of the city! Reply to the thread or pm me if you're interested! The town is always open from the portal! The portal is in the Rising Town Spawn, Floor 5, Lapis Lazuli Blue Ring by Viviville.

Here's an update that I hope will really draw players into Bertigstadt. These are renders of downtown, generously done by @masonrf. The city is on a peninsula surrounded by ocean. By performing /warp Bertigstadt, you will enter the city at the square surrounded by the skyscrapers. As you can see, the city is designed with a deep sense of realism. I used sea lanterns to reproduce the Sears Tower's illuminated antennas at night. The landmark towers are 1/3 the size of the real buildings, and are almost entirely empty. If this type of town interests you, feel free to mail me in game, or in the forum! Bertigstadt has a lot of potential with a unique look like this! Let's get the city lights glowing!
