This builder in this picture did not donate a single dollar or bought any features, confirmed that in chat before they got the free trial package, and then got the free trial package, only to get all these medals. I feel like if you get the free trial package, you shouldn't get the medals

We already knew this was going to happen due to how the forums checks for feature amounts to be awarded and we decided it wasn't a game-breaking issue.
Not really a bug, just a side-effect of the free trial.
The same thing will happen with the Eco subscription packages. Users will retain the medals for the features they had if it expires. -
I should note too that ingame, players who get this free trial are also getting the VIP donor rank too.
But ya, it's totally not a big deal IMO, but something that should be reported for knowledge -
We've now fixed the medals issue.
Upon login to the server, users will now have all their medals updated to the correct amounts according to their current /myfeatures. Will be live after our next maintenance.
