I'm fairly new to ECC, as we speak I'm adapting to the rules found here.

As per what had taken place a few days back, I stuck closely to the rules. Specifically referring to General Gameplay, Clause 4 Theft and Security. I went ahead and quoted the general rule that pertains to what is being discussed.

As I was wandering through the world, searching from town to town I came upon your chests. Before taking any action, I wanted to assure my safety by reviewing the rules yet again. After reviewing the Clause listed above, I went ahead and took the supplies as I, was, in need at the time.

Attempting to end this discussion on a positive note, I am fairly new to ECC. I have barely any experience on how to act, when put in cases here, thus I stick closely to the rules.

Would it not have been simpler for you to just do /lock than to go thru all of this?
Did @lowndsy2011 break into a building to get to these chests?
I think it is awesome he responded to this thread and believe him when he states he wishes to be successful here.
Also, you have been on the server for 2.5 years vs. his less than 2.5 weeks and you scold him publicly for not knowing how to act when not locking your chests and then creating a thread like this to me shows me you do not know how to act either. This could have remained a private matter. He obviously wants to do well or he would not have responded at all in my opinion.

I have to agree with @AdmiralD on this one. The user is new granted they could have read all of the rules regarding the server. It is however not their fault that you failed to lock your chest.... I know that this is a pain in the butt and yes it isn't cool to do however it's allowed. It probably would have been kinder to pm the user and confront them that way instead of calling them out for everyone to see. It's kind of not fair to them especially 2.5 weeks into their game play.
Just saying that's all not trying to offend here so I am sorry if I did.

 

I believe what Anok was trying to say, was watch out for him and whenever he is around make sure your chests are locked.

 

It takes ten seconds to lock a chest, if that - it's a little rude to call out a player for doing something totally within the rules, even if you were the one affected.
