You should add a part under how to sell things that tells builders that the prices in the spawn shops are not the prices the server will pay them for the same amount of items, because I've seen lot's of new players asking why they don't get the same amount of money for an item they can buy at spawn. For example, buying 512 wood costs you much more then what you will get from selling the same amount of wood to the server. If you explain this they would not get confused when selling items and getting less then wait they see them at in the spawn shops.
No problem. If i new that when i was a builder I probably would have taken even less time to get Resident because i raged out so many times
It would be great if you explained what ranks they should be looking forward to getting, and why each of the ranks can help them in the future.

Revan, you are probably already thinking of this, but explaining grief would eliminate many builders getting banned. I always ask anyone getting perms in my town if they understand grief and agree not to do so. Another huge problem is builders being scammed - I can't believe the amount of attempted scams done to the new players. I am really disappointed in the many mayors and presidents that seem to prey on the noobs. Please teach them screenshots and how to file a complaint and then these scammers will be punished instead of them getting by with these scams because there is no proof. Once again, I always try to tell my new town members to take screenshots of my transactions also. This is a great project you have decided to undertake!
That is a brilliant plan. I remember as a mayor having a major issue because there was this guy who thought that grief was removing blocks only and didn't realize that it included placing blocks. So he had placed blocks on my fountain and didn't remove them...
Explain early on that the server has several worlds with the basic purpose of them, and where spawn fits in it all -- this way they get an idea of what transportion routes they should be aware of
I think I will have to wait to add that after Andrew picks a spawn. That being said, I agree that should be added.
Some curious questions I had as a builder. 1. What is a cook pot? 2. What is a fishing table? 3. What is a melon sword? (Back then i thought it was a melon slice with sharpness used to kill people) 4. What is a pumpkin axe? (Even more mysterious)
Revan, glad to see your taking up this project. There really hasn't been a good builder guide...ever... Anyway, what you really need is a section of...unspoken rules and guidelines. You have to explain, the chances of getting a job are low. That no one really has lots of jobs. And that your better off not asking for a job. You need to explain the stuff that all of us experienced players know, that newer ones don't. You need to explain that lots of people try to take advantage of builders, and how to avoid being taken advantage of. Regular prices on items such as plots or what the value of placing a bunch of dirt is. So they don't get taken advantage of. Things along these lines. You can explain to me everything and what to do. But if I get stuck being payed $100 per doublechest of dirt I place, it won't cause me to like this server.
