That is why snowgolems are disabled. Ike was trying to get his town to have snow on it, and the golem walked into spawn...(Wasn't on purpose, was an accident.) Andrew has disabled them until he can have better protection from them. The thing nobody knows is that rain sounds have changed in 1.0.0, I haven't heard them myself, but I hear it isn't as obnoxious. New bug, yeah, it destroys those things, but it's not supposed to.
Creates Lag (same as cactus) Will make flowers respawn (unbalance economy system)(same as cactus) Makes noise (not like cactus) So cactus is actually not as bad as weather
Not nearly as much lag, you would be surprised. This hasn't happened yet, and I'm sure it won't be that bad. A few price changes wouldn't hurt. Uhh, yeah...Optifine...<_< I know some people don't want to download mods, but it would be the only option if weather comes.
If it can't be a feature all the time is it possible to rent it out like the way fly mod was rentable for a while? For mayors or presidents who want to bring their snow biome back to life?
Yeah I love snow but it occasionally lags me barely. I love snow. Especially in a Minecraft log cabin with a fireplace on.
Weather sounds cool and i think lightning would be awsome because there is also a feature when a pig gets stuck by lightning... it turns into a ZOMBIE PIGMAN!!!!! Its really cool when that happens!
