Minecraft Username: Anderfin Description: My Pet Panda has cloned himself twice. The colones remain when i hide my pet Got a pet panda. All seemed fine the first few days then when i did /pet hide he went away only to be in my town Strongcreek. Upon logging off later and coming back i did /pet hide again. Then i noticed later that he was in my town Ravendale in my wheat fields. I had another player confirm he wasn’t teleporting when i moved between towns. Unable to upload my two screen shots
To add a little more information, I have seen @Anderfin's pandas get cloned, and the "clone" that no longer acts like a pet turns into a normal panda, that can be damaged and acts with normal panda AI. Somehow it appears there's a bug where the pet becomes a real mob and then the pets plugin replaces it
I cannot properly reproduce but will have our developer look into the code. Would be helpful if someone had quick reproduction steps that they can continuously do. A video as well if possible. @ClarinetPhoenix see if you can test/reproduce this and let us know.
It looks like we will need exact reproduction steps, that continuously work to properly track this down and fix it.
I would be unable to do a video of this because it happens randomly with no notice. I plan on just removing my pet and killing the clones. This way it will not happen. To say i am disappointed is true. I spent money on a pet that has just caused problems. Thank you for trying to help.
I unfortunately have no way to help without being able to replicate or see the problem. We did make a few pet fixes in our latest update however that may perhaps address what you're experiencing.
Alright I've figured it out after a bit of testing. 1. Have your pet toggled on. 2. Fly away pretty far (so that the chunk unloads) When you fly, pets are unable to follow you and get stuck. 3. Wait 15+ seconds 4. Fly back 5. ~75% of the time, the pet will no longer recognize you.
@Anderfin @DD71 We’ve recently pushed a pets update. Can you please let me know if this still happens to you.
