2: type /pet info
3: repeat for red and replace black with red in the following
How many times did you recreate this?: lost count
Result: in /pet info the type will be tabby
Expected Result: Type to be black
Evidence:
Thought: perhaps change the type to _black and _red or something else to diff it from the collar colors.[/B]

We've submitted this to the pets developer.
Our developer will look at it after the weekend at the soonest however as we're taking the weekend off. -
It looks like cats have a collar & cat type and they conflict.
You'll have to use the following work around or the pet menu.
/pet cat:type_red,tamed,magenta,sit;Itty
We may make some changes to the plugin to work around this in the future.
@ClarinetPhoenix will make some wiki edits in the meantime for players so they are aware of this. -

Just to help out the big lead is that you can specify any info in the /pet info command as data, and that <lable>_<data> ensures it gets applied to the proper field when there are overlapping choices.
