Quartz! We don't have enough quartz!

 

One other question:

@HowlerMoon is a very nice player, and she was the first player placed on the inactivity exempt list ... but it has been more than six weeks now that we've not heard from her, and she owned no fewer than six plots, one of them a 20x20 with a large unfinished building on it, directly across the street from the new mall; another is a 10x20 in Southcaster which she never built on.

Does anyone think there would be anything wrong with me reclaiming those two plots, while leaving her actual home behind the mall intact in case she comes back? I would be perfectly happy to pay her for the reclaimed plots if/when she does come back, but I hate to see the real estate looking junky.

Thoughts?

 

Oh, and one other thing. Among the consequences of the update is that the "use flag" in Southcaster is not functioning the way it used to -- meaning that your animals are not protected from harm by non-town-members.

We discovered this because @Israellawson tp'd @TimmyChoi into his house, and @TimmyChoi proceeded to murder all of Israel's horses in front of him, apparently to train his unarmed skill. And because he apparently wanted to behave like an immature jerk with an over-developed sense of entitlement, without any regard for the feelings or hard work of another player. This is not, incidentally, a violation of server rules. Players keep animals at their own risk.

So, 1. Bear in mind that horses must be secured in order to be "safe," although they can still be injured in cases of grief, and 2. That there is a secure stable in Eastcaster, with stalls where you can keep a horse without perms, and in a town to which almost no one has perms.

Incidentally, I've thought about Israel's horses, and @TimmyChoi's behavior, and I've decided to add one more feature to Lancaster: a ban list.
