I would still like to see this implimented, and rather than re-suggesting it, I am bumping this existing thread.
Alright, since it was revived by KMax...my opinion. It sounds like a good idea. However, I am not sure whether it is actually possible. /nv enables a potion effect. The problem about potion effects is that they are deleted when changing worlds. (Imagine what would happen if you drank a lot of 8-minute potions and then immediately joined SG) I have no idea whether is is even possible to do, and if it is it would require strict defining of the worlds it works in, else /nv and all other potion effects would carry over to SG, too.
We had a similar issue with /fly at first, where it would turn off if you swapped worlds. Unlike a potion, which has a duration effect, the /nv command doesn't, and there could be some sort of check a plugin could do that would know you had typed the command that session and it keeps track of it until you log off. I know when I have a pet summoned and /pet hide it stays hidden until I log out, then I have to hide it again the next time I log in. It's easy as well to suspend various commands from working in given areas. Like how, for GA+s the /godmode command would suspend in PvP world or in an SG (but somehow not in the nether).
I assume that it actually has a timeout. The **:** time is displayed when it's simply too long to fit the format AFAIK.
