    Hiya,

A few days ago I had no issues with any lag in the game, yet on Friday I logged in and I now have lag when mining Stone/Cobblestone blocks. I have tried the same pick on dirt, sandstone, melon, pumpkin and no issues at all. What is happening is I hit the block, it disappears, then reappears then disappears all within about a second to a second and a half. Doesn't sound like much but what it is causing is me to start hitting the block again when it reappears and is very frustrating. I cant mine through anything as I am hitting a block, waiting then hitting the next one.. None of the other blocks do that, I hit them they disappear.

If someone can point me in the right direction I could do and post a video that you can see what I mean. Pretty much can't mine with the issue as it is extremely frustrating.

Think this might work, you can see the lag where the block disappears, reappears then disappears.

This happens to me also, however, I believe it to be lag spikes because it happens infrequently but for a short duration rather than randomly.

Mine is EVERY block, not random, not every so often, but every stone block I hit does that. Normally the first block is quicker, but the more I hit the longer they reappear for as you can see after I hit 6 or 8 front on in the video. Watch it closely and you can see every block reappear after I break it then it disappears.

I would have said lag if it happened on everything else (melon, sandstone, pumpkin) but it only happens on stone/cobblestone.

Check what your ping is. I talked to zwunder in vent an he said it had something to do with your internet.

I'm also having the same problem though it seems it's not limited to just cobble and stone for me but rather most blocks that you would break with a pickaxe. Diamond, lapiz, iron and coal for example. However, I'm having no trouble with dirt and gravel.

I also started noticing it about three days ago. I suppose it could be client-side lag but it seems a bit odd that both me and Wacko started experiencing the same issue around the same time.

I will check my ping shortly RyanJF1 but I can't see why last Thursday it was great, Friday it started and nothing here has changed. I am on the same Internet connection, same laptop (and I have replicated same issue on my desktop PC and another laptop. I have been on 2 other servers both USA based and no problems. Also, why is it just stone that is affected and for me no other blocks?

That means that it takes too long for the ping to actually reach the server, or it can't ping that port, try pining the website without the mc part.

OK zwunder, ping is around the 317ms which imo is pretty damn good considering my distance from the server.

Any ideas? It happened the day after Andrew and Wewin were playing with settings and since then it has been doing this.

maybe it is an anti-fast break thing messing with you. it might have different settings for different block types, and the stone/ore/pick ones are the problem. Does it happen with a wooden pickaxe or stone pickaxe (no enchants)?

Yes kukelekuuk00 it was a 2012 problem but guess what??? It was never resolved and I have persevered with it ever since. No it isn't a lag issue which you all claim. It is only happening with a diamond pick and only happens on stone/cobblestone/ore and if it is supposedly the anti-fast break thing, then why does it only affect those things? I can smash sandstone apart, I can use a gold pick and no problems, I can use a shovel on sand no problems. Hell, I can go to town with a melon sword/pumpkin axe and not get a single issue with it disappearing/reappearing/disappearing!!!!

No one can tell me why, we will just all blame lag because it is easy, so I now mine differently when I am mining stone etc. Takes longer, but it appears to only be me that it affects!

I said it was a lag problem, it's actually related to the problem Void_Yo and I are having, we found the problem and most of it should be fixed soon.

I hope it can be fixed mate because sometimes it can be a real pain in the butt :) I have gotten use to it, but it would be nice to be able to mine normally again :)

Can you keep me informed as to when it is fixed so I can test as well?
