    Hello everyone,
    So do you want the chance to win up to 130k?
    Sure you do!!
    Well each week, you post in here with the NFL Weekend fixtures and what you think the scores will be. You will get points based off of these criteria:
    2 Points - Correct Winning Team
    5 Points - Within 5 Points Correct Score
    10 Points - Correct Score

    Example
    You will use the format in the second post to guess the weekly fixtures.
    For example the game is:
    Saints vs Bears
    My Prediction Saints Win 24-10

    I would get:
    0 Points : Bears Win 12-10
    2 Points : Saints Win 28-19
    5 Points : Bears Win 22-12 (within 5 points)
    7 Points : Saints Win 22-12 (within 5 points)
    10 Points : Bears win 24-10
    12 Points : Saints Win 24-10

    Prizes
    Prizes are:
    Overall Competition
    This is the final score you obtain after all weeks of NFL finished (Includes up to the Super Bowl)
    1st Place : 100k
    2nd Place : 50k
    3rd Place : 25k
    4th Place : 14k
    5th Place 7k

    Weekly Competition
    This is the best Weekly Score after all weeks of NFL finished (Includes up to the Super Bowl)
    1st Place : 30k
    2nd Place : 16k
    3rd Place : 8k
    4th Place : 4.5k
    5th Place : 2k

    Prizes will be given out after the Super Bowl when all votes have been counted.

    BONUS THIS YEAR!!!!
    Every additional participants after 15 participants will add 5k to the pot!!! ($500 to each placing)
    That means if this rule was in place last year (When we had 28 participants) 6.5k would be added to each placing! Meaning coming 5th would net 13.5k!!!

    Thanks for hosting this again this year,Mission! Looking forward to it :D

    A couple suggestions I have. I personally think it makes more sense to put emphasis on guessing the correct winning team than the score. With the current system, you can get only a few points for getting the winning team right, but a lot for points which is way too much luck-based. If it was me, what I would be doing is having people guess the winning team and by how much. For example:

    5 points - correct winning team
    5 points - team wins by exact margin that you guessed.
    4 points - the margin you guessed was 1 off from what the actual margin was. 3 points if it was 2 off, 2pts if it was 3 off, and 1pt if it was 4 off.
    And you can only get points for the point differential if you get the winning team right first.

    Seahawks @ Rams: Seahawks win by 6

    If the actual outcome is Seahawks 27-21, I get 10 pts because I got the winning team and the point margin right.
    If it's Seahawks 28-24, I get 8 points, because I got the winning team right for 5, and another 3 because the margin by which the Seahawks win (4) is two off of what I guessed (6).
    If it's Seahawks 24-13, I get 5 points for the winning team, but none for the point spread because the actual margin (11) is five off from what I guessed (6), and that's too far off.
    If it's Rams 27-21, I get no points, even though the point spread was right.

    I hope that kinda makes sense. That's how i would do it if it was up to me, but this is no pressure for you to change it :p I get why you like your way, and it'd probably be more tedious to score with my method :p Maybe it's ok to keep it like it is for the sake of continuity.

    Phew. All that aside, I'm really looking forward to doing this again, and maybe I can convince @goblizz to do it too :p thank you!

    Preseason usually is just teams feeling their way into the year, and just becomes a game of luck, rather than analysis and skill.

    As well, I forget how the scoring system for the points work. I remembered it being a margin, but I forget how exactly it works.
