Well, the headline says it all. After an incredible build up, littered with competitions of financial and architectural prowess, the new world is finally here. At 4:00 PM eastern time, Ecocitycraft’s Rising world will deploy for donating members of the public to access. All non-donators will be able to access rising on Saturday at 4:00 PM eastern time. Information provided by andrewkm via twitter. Additionally, andrewkm has temporarily capped original town establishment costs at 400,000 ecodollars! There is no word on how long this special deal will run for.

A few days ago, an image map of the Rising world was generated. NOTMW’s own OnSceneReporter placed a coordinate system above the map.

Many people have spoken desires about claiming town zones in the new biomes. It’s sure to be a spicy gold rush! Good luck to all.

Rising: Your Thoughts

As we all know Rising will be Arriving on Ecocitycraft within the next 24 hours. We have all been really excited to hear all the Updates in anticipation of the New World arriving in the last few weeks. All interviews were taken prior to the World release to see what people thought and were excited to see in the new World.

Generaljoecool Stated that he was “Hopeful...” to see what a “lovely world” that Rising would make, He also went on to state that he is Planning to take full advantage of the Rising world Despite “A Lack in funds...”.

Glooble Went on to Say “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” and that he will be Spending most of his time on his new town in the Rising worlds! Glooble was most excited for “The new biomes…” and plans to make a new town in an Ice Spike Biome! Good Luck!

Jakeyray18 Said that he was most excited for “The ice biomes…” and getting the Packed ice more freely! He also stated he will be using new materials on his magnificent ice castle with Physicistsmom! When we asked Jakey to sum up Rising in one word, he was Speechless. We eventually got the word “Amazing!” out of the Super Moderator.

When we interviewed Vinh_Kin, he told us that he was “Not so excited for Rising…” and that the only reason he would move into Rising was when he would reach the very respectable [President] rank in the server. When we asked Vinh to sum Up rising he said “New!”

Thank you to all that took part in these interviews! All your responses were great! So, now we have some Interviews done, I would like to know what do you love or not like about Rising? If you would move there, and what biome you would like to settle in?

War Rages in Legacy

Over the past several days, we’ve been covering the tensions on the Bremen/Ostberlin border. We now can confirm that an intense firefight took place between dozens of troops from both nations. It is not known who took the first shot, but not long after the outbreak, the onslaught of snowballs graduated to fire arrows.

As the battle intensified into the evening, some nearby bystanders commented that the scene looked like a cool fireworks display.

Though it is unknown at present how many casualties mounted up, news came out that we several individuals were captured by Bremen forces. OnSceneReporter was traveling through the neutral zone, but was caught in the crossfire by bow and arrow.

Not long later, it was confirmed that prisoners of war were indeed captured.

Of primary interest of the prisoners was a high profile abduction; Grimm123, Chief Engineer of Badwolf castle. An official statement was released by the Queen of Badwolf:

Today a heinous act was committed by Pbrassat17 and his band of hooligans. I returned to my Empire after a long day to find that my Chief Engineer, Grimm123, was missing. Pbrassat17 had him held prisoner for 3 hours. pbrassat17 this a public warning. No members of my Empire are to be forced into your tiny prisons. No members of my Empire are to be threatened without just cause and screenshots must be provided. In the event I discover that a threat or kidnapping has occurred again then what is currently known as Bremen will be known as a crater. The fact of the matter is, we both know who the super power in this war is. I agreed to leave your cute little city alone if you left my people alone. Therefore you should take this warning, or you will find what the true force of the Normandy and a Sith Lord can do to those tanks and AA guns you think are so threatening. There will be no mercy. There will be no end until your city is a pile of rubble. Thank you.

Bremen leader Pbrasset17 issued a counter statement:

Today [1/22/14] the first bullets of the war have been shot. After countless weeks of preperation, and intellegence having been collected Prussia shot its first bullet at Bremen, In response Bremen officials began firing back and taking in Prisoners. One of these Prisoners being Grimm123. I as the leader of Bremen and its army do not deny that we kept Grimm in prison for over 3 hours with no food, drink, or light during this war. He was located far underground in a bunker. This seemed to have sparked issues with Revanrose6 and her Empire. At this moment we the nation of Europe do not know what is to come upon us, however we will be prepared in any situation.

During the entirety of the battle, many troops in Ostberlin questioned the whereabouts of Prussian Dear Leader welikeike22. We have been unable to reach the leader for comments.

We will be continuing our coverage of the war. We did however receive an additional press release out of Bremen. We are still investigating the ramifications of this news:

Stolio has been kicked out of bremen today due to refusing Direct orders to leave America and its military alone, and prevent military actions with them. However instead he held Revanrose6 hostage for hours upon hours. After having been notified I took the proper actions on the situation.
