Yeah people in skyblock see the same thing, it shows random colors (very ugly combination) on our end. From Skyblock view. Those are not Johndom's colors that he chose or that the main servers see.
Thanks for letting us know. I've reported / inquired about this with the mcMMO developer. Regarding SkyBlock not seeing the proper colors, there's nothing we can do as it's running on 1.12.2 and Minecraft did not have HEX colors at the time. @electronicboy however can confirm if there is or isn't a solution we can provide for this.
for SkyBlock, you're generally not gonna see the same colors given the whole way that that works, it miiight be possible to get some form of behavior here to convert back to the legacy plain format, I think that the text library I use these days may bundle such a util for that, but, they're never gonna look as-is on skyblock
We've determined we will not be running a custom fix for this in any way as we are looking to upgrade SkyBlock to 1.16 very soon.
This should now be fixed on all servers. Please confirm @ClarinetPhoenix on both Main servers and SkyBlock.
On both Mains Hex nicknames are working properly in party chat Hex nicknames on Skyblock iirc are incompatible(still showing funky colors in chat) and I am not able to nick myself with hex on Skyblock to test party chat on Skyblock.
