I play striker, left defender, right defender, midfielder and/or mid defender. I customize all my cleats because I hate having the same as someone else xD If I see a really cool cleat though, I get it I am OBSESSED with cleats.
XD, my coach thinks im pretty big for a goalie, he says it doesn't matter about my size but my maneuverability and if i can move to the ball while being able to judge the kick based off someones eyes and foot angle, but im 5'6
When I played soccer, as a goalkeeper, I just used cheap shoes, I don't see the point in getting super expensive/fancy shoes when all you do with it is run and kick a ball, I can understand getting shoes of decent quality, but I don't understand getting "professional" shoes. Guess it's just me.
The more and more you play soccer, meaning how many years you put into it, the better you get to "know your type of cleat". Some have a more stiff design, others are more sleek. A while back, I had a pare where they had sand in the bottom so that it would give you momentum in your kick. They weren't my favorite but they definitely did work. I always say "you get what you pay for". The higher you pay for a cleat, the better experience you will get with it and the longer it will last. (Usually)
Ball control, range, ball curve, and technique, all of them make a good player and with the right cleat makes you even more of a good player.
I play a midfield role where I am more attacking minded, but I still run back to save our defenses asses some time. I usually and more of the guy who can get in some good passes but at the same time shoot. I also like to do me skills
