just pointing out that, while the current background is (glorious) 4k HD. normal 1080p is good enough. 1920x1080 @Nicit6

 

I like this but ideally I think we should have some type of city as the background.. and there need to be exciting things on either side. Something like Potato's background.

Also Nicit - is it better to blur it like the current pic, or keep it in full resolution? Or is it up to the designer?

 

blurring always looks better. An unblurred background is distracting. It doesn't need to be anything exciting either. Something like this works, too:

Okay, so I went with what kuke said about the image working at 1080p to lower the image size, though they are still about 900kb. Anyone know if these can be lowered at all without sacrificing too much quality? But yeah so here's what I ended up with:

We're going to be putting this competition on hold for now until further notice.
Due to the AD Styler, and all the current possibilities, we won't be needed a custom background at this time.

This thread will be unlocked sometime in the future however.
