Okay. I would suggest that you keep going till the due date, as outlined in the contract, then after that if you have recieved no payment, you'll need to file a complaint with evidence. It says build prebuilts and furnish "a" skyscraper. It's pretty broad.

Honestly that contract shouldn't have been approved as it's far too broad and unspecific.

Have you already used the 200k paid up front?

 

Just to clarify, you are to be paid $220000 when finished, and up to $200000 for materials you buy to do the job?

 

@BuildsByGideon so you were given the materials to use and then once they were all used up, you used your own. In my opinion you probably shouldn't have done this and as Nicit said the contract was very vauge.

My advice would be to no longer continue the builds (as there is no more materials) and then file a complaint once it is past the due date. If you would like you can tag me in the complaint (if you need to make one) and I'll try to think of a way to solve it :)

 

The contract should not have been approved. Firstly, it says "furnish". This is kinda broad, and of course, didn't say where the skyscraper was, and what is defined as a skyscraper (better to have said building). Plus, if there weren't floors to build onto, he could not very well have put furniture there. Probably something can be worked out. Simply wait until ldw asks for 10k payment of a failed contract, and work it out from there.

 

Gideon, I will get you the materials asap I just took a small break. In addition the skyscraper is right in the middle of town. You know what I meant.

 

Arguably the complaint could be filed now if the full sum for materials was not paid up front, correct? Ldw has already breached the contract by not fulfilling one of his terms.

more than that and I provided about 100k in mats. Either way, the contract was flawed. It did not state that I must pay you 200k for mats.

 

Up to can basically mean whatever is needed with a maximum of 200k. If he didn't pay what you needed, it could be seen as a breach of contract. But it'd be very flimsy. As I said, the real flaw in this would be that it shouldn't have been accepted. You guys should just work out a new contract.
