I don't know really, I just like the idea of them being untouched. I suppose having that thread locked IS the best way to do that.
That doesn't look like it includes an option to differentiate between subforums (other than a basic yes/no) - and personally I think different forums need different autolocks. World forums / private forums tend to be much slower, than say, general discussion.
Ok, Now that you said that, Back to my original point, Why, if threads are slower in the private forums, get locked for Necro? If they are that slow at updating/ users posting, why bother locking it for necro. If not a lot of people go in and check that forum section, then why bother locking the discussion that is "slow"
I came across this add on, and coincidentally saw andrew had posted about this. I think this may happen: www.xenforo.com/community/threads/auto-close-move-delete-thread-inactivity.43234/page-2#post-798863
That could have some issues though. There are threads that become relevant later. Example: There are staff threads that may become irrelevant for months and when relevant again, get bumped again. I think the real answer is to stop necroing threads for fun. -.-
Yeah, I agree with what your saying. Andrew said in his post that it would be "node specific" so, for staff forums, this option would not be available.
