I think andrew was paypal frauded recently, that may be the problem if you bought it from another user.

 

^ That's the risk buying from another user. If something like that happens the features get revoked.

 

Hey Avo, I understand that is the risk, however, surely there is a notification made to users that have features removed. Please tell me yes.

 

I believe the "Notification" that is given is you will get a buycraft message when you log in/are logged in when the feature is removed. The notification is just like when buying features, however you lose the feature instead. I know this from the one time this has happened to me, and I thought I got a feature and instead it was the notice of a change, which was a removal

Itz, if something happened with paypal from another user (May it be fraud or otherwise) the features bought or scammed are revoked. That's why

 

You had plus2.
The user bought you the standard package.
All packages are the same price.

You were reverted to the plus package due to the paypal fraud.

As I always say, buy from trusted users, or buy things yourself.

 

Going through your payment history; you almost always, if not literally always buy from other users.
This is a risk you are taking. You cannot expect to get "FREE" features. When a user commits paypal fraud, we have to fight the case legally and we *obviously* revert the features during this time. INFACT other servers BAN you for paypal fraud whether you bought the feature or not (meaning your friend could've set you up, bought you a feature, commited paypal fraud, and had YOU perma banned - EcoCityCraft doesn't do that and we provide much better service looking into each case in depth)

Good luck with whatever server you choose, but we will not give you, nor have we ever given away free features. Again stay secure, buy from trusted users, or buy it yourself. If you're going to quit ECC because of a $15 donation removed from your account due to fraud, then that's your choice. See ya.

 

Really? That's quite harsh, glad to see ECC not banning innocents. I don't understand why some servers would ban people who had nothing to do with the paypal fraud :/

Thats like being scammed 75k... Thats legit nothing this is gunna sound harsh but just suck it up and make the money back. You learned a lesson about trusting people and u only lost 75k its not that bad. One of my friends bought investigator and had it charged back that would suck quite a bit so be glad you didnt get scammed outa more and move on.

 

If you buy from a user that buys donation features using bitcoin, they aren't able to chargeback later on. *raises hand*

 

Because some servers use auto chargeback commands to issue the ban command:



ECC instead, goes through every paypal fraud case and determines wether the user themselves is responsible or not.

On the other hand I can't really criticize those server because some of them have thousands beyond thousands of players online (those huge networks), and I doubt they have the possibility of going through each case manually. (Although if I ran them I sure as heck would still try to)

PS: We win 95%+ of charge back cases anyways due to my incredible PayPal Business Manager (only available to PayPal accounts over 10 years of age in perfect standing), and once we retrieve the money features are returned.

 

Ahh, thanks for explaining - Question though how do you lose the PayPal disputes? They're essentially stealing money from you, as the TOS states you provide no refunds for donations and such. I know 5% is a small number, but it's still remarkable how you don't win every single case as you clearly state no refunds.

 

Threads like these are literally the same as:

You give someone a collection of antique potatoes that you've had all your life, and the person agrees to go buy you a car in return for it. The persons credit card goes through and he gets the car. He gives you the car, and all is well. You're all fine and dandy in your new Mustang. 7 Days later the police arrive at your door and need to confiscate the Mustang due to the fact the card used for it was a stolen card and the bank must recover these stolen funds by selling off the Mustang and reimbursing the actual owner of the credit card.

You then call the bank and tell them they owe you an antique collection of potatoes because you were scammed... and you can't find the person who ran off with your darn potatoes ... They laugh and hang up.

Please guys, take responsibility for your own mistakes. Buy from trusted users, or buy stuff yourselves.
