We didnt just make money for ourselves, everyone made money. There was no way, what we were doing, is broken.

 

I dont make 20k an hour unless i work my butt off, and not everyone is worried about rank. Andrew is most concerned with keeping a steady flow of donations, i would imagine. 20k an hour isnt achieved with only 1 person anyways. I may be able to make 20-30k an hour with my wheat farm, but that's hiring a dozen people or more. I agree no one person should be able to make that, unless that person is in someone providing something for the server.

I myself could have had mayor and pres and tycoon, but I played lotto, I donated to lots of people, I bought supplies, I built things. Hiring over 150 people at one farm, in less than 2 months? I, with THCOOL help, could not have helped so many builders become residents. I have personally assisted builders who were going to quit, who announced this on global, that i got to stay, and are now active players. I have taught several people ecc, who are now donators, that have worked at my farm. Our operation was going to provide more and more and more jobs, every night, that were going to make anyone and everyone money, who qualified for it. This was a plan that was shared between several other players, that is now completely gone.

What we were doing was for the love of ECC and playing to have fun. We were helping a lot of people become lovers of ecc like us. Now we can no longer provide for ourselves, or new players who become overwhelmed with the size and scope of our server. I am mad because I care. Melon farming creates solo working, and it's monotonous and really overall... isn't fun. It's just not, what THCOOL nicit6 bARely_TrYx_HI Solstice18 were doing, it's what we wanted to share with the rest of ecc too. So this not only hurts us financial, it's hurts the gamers' heart, but it does the same for our past workers, and potential future workers, that we intended to have. Jobs in the labor force are good... Rich people hire more people... It's the exact same thing with real life governments... Taxing the rich, or perceived rich, is hurting the little guys just as much because there's a trickle down effect.

I dont want to ramble on, but I dont want people to mistake my caring as "whining." I enjoy ecc very much, and wish to see changes that help a majority, and changes that are eased into, and a more overall stabilized economy. I mean no harm when attempting to discuss these things on ecc, but I am silenced for rules I have not broken. If people rage, that has nothing to do with me, I am attempting to talk about the changes rationally. Things dont change unless enough people are informed of what the changes effect directly and, most importantly, indirectly.

Minecraft is hardcore, because it takes dedication to make it to where you want to be. Hardcore doesnt mean, completely wreck things, or at the least create minor problems for a sizable portion of the community, at least not out with some sort of easing or warning.

 

How was it overpriced? who was getting rich doing it? Who?

 

Nerfing prices, nerfs jobs... What dont you people understand? Eventually all we'll be left with is melon farming. Melon swords cost Nstars, the only way to get Nstars, is to vote for a server, this is essentially forcing you to vote for it, in order to make the most money. Melon farming is the most boring thing on the server.... I would rather place dirt, than melon farm. It's not a social activity, it makes people have to spend hours monotonously farming lines and lines and lines of melons, to just see their big farm they make with their melon money, get nerfed? It's a cycle that will perpetuate itself, much like real life governments, economies where the jobs are cut, the economy suffers.... I this case, the fun and social aspects are also being drained from ecc. All of these changes are small individually, but they add up to a server's inevitable failure. I love this server, and am looking at the bigger picture of where this economy is going. Most people who play dont care to assist anyone else in sharing money making opportunities. This server is making it harder and harder to hire people with each crop nerf. What's next to be nerfed? dirt and stone prices? diamond prices? When does it end? Ive been here for 3 months using a wheat farm, and there's not way it can make what kuke says it can make. I have analyzed every way of making money on this server. Wheat cannot make that much, if you're doing it by yourself, you cannot make that kinda of money. No matter what your mcmmo levels are, and using your fortune 3 w/e tool. So what do I do now? Loan expensive tools to new workers... and trust them with my wheat and the tools? This is going to create way more scammers.
