Can we look at getting the server price of $10/Block of Mossy put down, the demand for them isn't high, there easier to find then the Stronghold Mossy and the current server price seems a bit over the top. I know the servers meant to be x3 as high but even at $10 each that's still over the top. 1,000 = 10,000 Eco-dollars doesn't this seem a bit much?
They sell to server for 50c how did we get to $10 buy?

Yeah, I'm in agreement... Mossy cobble is much more common than Mossy brick by a long shot (at least right now, as dungeons will never really go away), and if they cost more than Mossy brick, it doesn't make much sense.
I don't know what to propose for a price change, since I don't actually know what Mossy brick is at the moment, or how often people do actually find Mossy cobble. -

To my knowledge, the reasoning behind Mossy Stone Brick being .50 per block was due to a glitch in which they could be replicated from Stone Brick items.
In my opinion - if this glitch is no longer active - then instead of a price reduction for Mossy Cobblestone, I say the price for Mossy Stone Brick should increase. Mossy Cobblestone is a relatively rare stone, seeing as it is only found in dungeons (I think). Dungeons are more numerous than Strongholds, obviously, but they are still rare enough that the current price for Mossy Cobblestone is acceptable in my opinion. I do not know how many mossy cobblestone blocks are sold to the server, but if we were to drop the price, it would only serve to increase the difficulty new users face in acquiring the money needed to purchase ranks.
I'm against dropping the price of Mossy Cobblestone. It should stay at the current price. -

The glitch wasn't with the bricks; its with the stairs and there's a 1/3 chance of it happening. Its Cracked / Normal / Mossy. Stairs take A-LOT Of normal to make so its not worth replicating them, you would lose more money then buying them from server store.
As for Mossy being rare... you go mining for an hour, if your not being lazy your assured to find 3 monster spawners on average that's roughly 1 stack bare minimum where-as if you find a stronghold well you have an entire stronghold + Those stupid creatures. -

Wolvie, I don't believe it matters what the chance of success is for the glitch. The fact is that they can be replicated, and if the price for mossy stone brick was say, 10.00 per block, I'd have to think that it would become profitable to replicate them using stone bricks, which are much more easily obtained. You can make stone brick with cobblestone and a fuel source, which could then be converted to stone block, etc. etc... I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to create a system that would easily abuse this glitch.
Currently, it is obviously a bad business venture to try to replicate mossy stone block with regular stone blocks because of the fact that the current price for mossy stone block is so low. This is not a coincidence.
I can go mining at level 12 forever and never find a dungeon. In fact, in all of my mines underneath level 20, I have not encountered a dungeon. Either I just have an incredible dungeon-drought going on, or they don't spawn at those levels. Most mining operations for rare ores take place around level 12, so for those users like myself getting mossy cobblestone is not an every-day occurrence.
Of course, mining through the abandoned mine shafts would obviously yield a higher chance of obtaining mossy cobblestone because of the frequency of dungeons being spawned in the vicinity of those abandoned mine shafts. If I had my way, I would drastically lower the frequency of abandoned mine shafts... That is beside the point, however.
The fact remains that mossy stone brick is sold at such a low price because it is indeed able to be replicated and abused if it enjoyed a higher price. -

"The fact remains that mossy stone brick is sold at such a low price because it is indeed able to be replicated and abused if it enjoyed a higher price."
Um this sentence contradicts all you've said prior. The Mossy Bricks at $10 Per this isn't a low price... and if it was a higher price it'd get abused for sure...
My Argument isn't about the mossy brick, i think that's relatively fine where it is... my issue is with the mossy cobblestone and your whole argument for having the mossy not be price reduced is around the fact that Mossy Brick can be abused? You need some sleep... or maybe I'm miss reading your argument and I need DAT-dare sleep.
On a side note there IS a-lot less abandon mine-shafts as tweeted by #Jeb so that's your wish come true. -

My reasoning for keeping mossy cobblestone at its current 5/10 price is because - contrary to what you have said previously - mossy cobblestone is not a common resource, and there is a limited amount available naturally on the map. I only included my discussion about mossy stone brick because you were using its current .50 /sell price as your primary reason for petitioning the price of mossy cobblestone. Am I making myself more clear this time?

Reason i believe mossy should be reduced from 10 server price to at-least 5.
1. Mossy Cobble is more common to find then Mossy Brick but they have same value. (Don't give me the stair breaking argument because its like making a monster spawner and can (And probably will) be out-lawed like it should if it effects the Iconomy enough to warrant its ban.)
2. $10 per brick, players are apparently making a-lot of money that's helping users get money. Reeds got price nerfed for that very reason so why not reduce mossy? (The reason i bet is because its not renewable, yet we're changing maps and getting a new supply of it)
3. All prices on the market should be relative to what the players are willing / able to pay. IF this isn't true then cobblestone should be worth $5 per block. (The Prices on the market are currently set at $9 per mossy cobble if not more but there was a good 1000 on there for $5 or less before i hit that market.
4. Since Mossy Brick came out the demand for Mossy Cobblestone has dropped severely compared to what it was like on the old map. The only reason i noticed it's price is because I'm planning something extreme with it, but the price of the stuff is too extreme.
5. There are things on this server with a rarity higher then Mossy Cobblestone such as Cookies, cocoa beans, Brown Wool, Pink wool... these are all sold cheap as biscuits. So why is Mossy Cobblestone so damn high?
Listen, a-lot of people will argue i only want the price down because I'm using it -A LOT of it. You know what? Its true in many regards, but if i hadn't such a need for the mossy cobble i wouldn't have noticed the price of it being so extensive and we wouldn't be having this discussion right now about the price of it, to see if theirs an issue. All prices start with someone needing or wanting the block/item and this is no different, I need the block and i feel $10 each is far too much to pay for it. -

A map change is not a valid reason to consider an item 'renewable'.
I am going to stop responding to this thread until there are more users who believe $10 per mossy stone brick from the server store is too much. If there is a large enough group who consider it over-priced, then I would of course be willing to reconsider my position. -

In fairness, there is a difference between mossy cobblestone and mossy brick block. Mossy cobblestone is found in dungeons, while Mossy Brick Block is only found in strongholds.
The Mossy Brick Block price is 100% fair, but it might actually be a bit too low.
The mossy cobblestone price is not fair, when it comes to its sale price in the server-store, though. If it were to stay this way, the price for mossy brick blocks should go up, along with the cracked block.
