Brief Description: Numerous graphical glitches on mining map, if I walk around enough I start getting like a line slicing down from the top left corner diagonally across my screen. Problem with some chunks not loading, you can see down like tunnels and lava below and its like everything in between is invisible, doesn't go away. Using power tool ability to warp home from mining map has made the game crash for me 4 times in a row.

Instructions: Assign home to an item with powertool, set home on main world map, go to mining world, use powertool item, crash game (for me anyway)

How many times did you recreate this bug?: 4

    Result: game closes

    Expected Result: game not crashing

Evidence: I went ahead and checked to make sure my java is the most up to date and some other updates that I thought could possibly coincide but all of my programs etc are up to date. I like mining world, it just doesn't play nice with my computer or minecraft =(

I see random blocks that are blackened in color, like they have a black multiple layer over them. No crashing or anything else, though.

Only "mod" I have is MCPatcher and I've been having similar issues. I'm also using Misa 64x64 texture pack.

After about 5 minutes in the mining world I start lagging, then all of a sudden I can sorta see through the world, and some blocks are invisible. After about another 10 minutes of lag and blocks I can't see that I keep running into, I crash and get an out of memory error.

Edit: I should also add that this only happens to me when in the mining world, and that I have been using this texture pack for a while with absolutely no problems. MCPatcher shouldn't be causing the issue.

For some reason, it's using up a lot of my memory.

It the mass amounts of checks you have to do while the land isnt properly explored yet, it will go away after people have run around the jungle enough.
It is like this on crappy computers (some worse than others)

I use no mods and have not had minecraft crash in single player or when using the nether on this server. I went and tried exploring different maps on several servers to see if its an issue with my pc but still only encountered alot of crashing with this map. My guess is its tied to powertool. I posted it because my friend chazmeister13 playing with me last night was having the same issue and we have pretty different systems running. Also he doesn't use any mods either, we play it bare bones. I get annoyed at mods breaking with updates and having to update them, not sure his reasons for not using any, I know he used spoutcraft for awhile but got sick of it breaking things.

I have had times and places where my pc chugs to load and thats a ram/java type issue, this is the first time with minecraft that I have had an issue with it crashing and I have had the game for little over a year. Hope something in that info helps.

I understand, I just posted it in case anyone else was having issues they might chime in as well. Pretty sure its just something with the custom map at this point, I am still able to go in there at least and check it out. Hopefully I have better luck on the next one. I would update to the newest nvidia driver but last time I did that I lost a brand new $300 graphics card while beta testing Starcraft II because the cool coders at nvidia forgot to tell the fan in newer cards to turn on when it reached higher temps.
