Minecraft Problem

    Everytime I try to log into minecraft, it absolutely freezes. I tried re-installing it and still the same damn problem. It's now starting to really get to me as I want to play on the server, and I really can't.

    Edit: I meant to say log in to the server, I successfully log into ecocitycraft, but it freezes completely.
    I also have to start task manager to stop it most times.

    try deleting the whole .minecraft folder (make a backup if you dont want to lose everything)
    if that doesnt work uninstall your java and download java 7 (if you dont have it)

    Alright well I DID delete the mc folder, and it didn't work. How do I uninstall java?

    How do I know whether to install the JDK or JRE java SE 7 ?

    It seems that it's only ecc that is doing this for me. Tried a couple other servers, everything was fine. Tried singleplayer; fine. Tried ecc again after installing Java 7: no good. I'm getting a bit worried now.

    download minecraft.jar launcher from minecraft.net place it in the .minecraft folder and in that folder make a .bat file that contains this text:

    @echo off
java -Xmx512M -Xms256M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
pause

    then make a shortcut if you want and launch it.


    try it

    oh and when something happens and an error pops up copy it and post it here

    Looks kind of like he is in some laggy as hell place, like those who were in the old world previous who then sign on to be stuck in the disabled nether...

    What Kuke suggested is pretty much opening Notepad, putting in the text he said, and saving it as a .bat in your .minecraft folder. Dunno if that made it simpler. :/

    Minecraft need at least 1.5-2GB of Random Access Memory
    32 bit opperating sys are NOT FOR GAMING GET 64 BIT
    Processor sucks get a new one if possible
