Whenever I try to open my minecraft it gives me this error: "Error: could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occured. Program will exit."

Does anyone know how to fix this ? Otherwise no more ECC for me :-(

It didn't work, but I fixed it though. I downloaded multiMC and reinstalled Java. I lowered the allocated memory to 512 MB and now it works fine.
