As many of you know, I had lost a melon sword due to my chest being unlocked.

Well, I have now found out why that chest was unlocked!

I was browsing the forums when I was called for duty. An LWC removal had been requested! I processed the application, but I had done "/unlock" when there were no more chests to unlock. Since the application was done, I TP'd back to my home. There I saw my marvelous melon sword chest. I went to grab my sword, and then I would begin farming at Skylexia's farm. I would always farm there, and I made a lot of money. As I went to grab the chest, I had forgot that I typed in the command "/unlock". It ended up unlocking the chest as I was grabbing my melon sword.

I was at the beach when this happened, and ended up coming home to missed calls and texts. THANK YOU RUNAKILLI. I ended up going through my chat logs to find out why it was unlocked. >.>

TL;DR I failed when I was doing an LWC removal, and I unlocked my stuff.

Lesson learned: Don't macro /unlock as this will cause you to over press the key and you will end up unlocking your chest.

Also, congratulations to the resident who got it. It's all yours. :)

Now... is it worth it again?

I paid for the sword for about 300k, and I might buy another one for 350k as the prices have gone up. I am wondering if it is worth it again. I will also be constantly paranoid I will lose it again, too. I was never able to make my money back on the sword, and therefore I am asking you guys for your opinions on whether or not I should get another one. I will end up spending 650k on swords, so I will need to make that back some how.

So, answer the poll and state your reasons below. If it's not worth it, what would be a good alternative money-making solution? Also, if you guys don't melon farm, then what do you do to make money?

 

I'm over the sword now, but I need opinions on whether or not I should get another one. Would buying another melon sword become profitable in the end?

 

Pumpkin farming annoys me now, but I could start back up if I wanted to. I made about 20k an hour with melons. I could never farm melons for a straight hour due to moderator duties.

 

Hidendra needs to add /superlock. This would be an unlockable chest. Great idea, right?

If I don't join ECC for 2 weeks straight I'm most likely dead.

I am questioning the EnderChest as Andrew himself doesn't recommend storing valuables there, and that a chest is the safest place. You never know what might happen.
