I don't literally fall asleep and melon farm, but this is what I do. You can open a movie, article, etc, and literally make Minecraft a 1x1 inch screen in the top left hand corner. I also have perms to an 800x200 Melon farm, which makes it a lot easier. I don't necessarily go in my 8 hour sleep when I say I'm sleeping, I more mean I may take a nap, or I'll just be doing something else. This is something @Harryhaz1 taught me to do.
No effort = less pay. More effort = more pay. Simple math explains why this won't and will not ever happen.
Thank you for clearing that up - sort of I would still like to know how to nap and farm melons without wiping out every stem BTW, I am old and like to take naps (which works out well since my granddaughter still takes naps) I appreciate you being tolerant of me messing with you.
This, my friend, is how to set up the perfect melon farm. Have stone to the right of the melon, and farm at just a slight angle so you can keep going without breaking the stems If you want a TP here, just let me know.
Knears I am simply suggesting it to be raised slightly because it is a massive price difference per hour and costs more. I see your point but I still think it should be raised slightly hope you see my point
Wait it out. The netherstar prices have already peaked and are on the way down. Andrew will add a sixth voting site again, because his OCD can't handle five, and in a couple months swords will only be worth 600k or so, thus balancing it out again somewhat
I brought it up not because it is lots of money now but simply because it is ridiculous that the eff7 is way cheaper than the msword but makes way more.
Right but once the star prices stabalize, as will the sword price and thus the sword will be worth about as much as the pick, however it should still have less payout since it requires less effort. Essentially what I'm saying is, the economy will eventually fix itself and all this will go back to what it was prior to the great nether star explosion of a few weeks ago. Edit: although I do agree that 2000 stars is a bit steep, 1750 should be sufficient enough.
I would like a definitive figure on how much mining makes per hour vs. how much melon farming makes per hour.
I myself bought a melon sword even though it was more expensive cause I don't have pyro plus. Using an eff7 is much more dangerous as u can die with it in lava. Where as a melon sword u can't really die from using it
Try running off the edge of giga farms without fly enabled sometime - not that I ever did this of course
I would like to keep this topic updated. I have done some preliminary testing with a melon sword at .585 speed, and was able to farm 780 melons in 5 minutes, equating to a selling price of $1287. This, per hour is $15444. I feel as though for something with such a large investment (around 1 million ECD/2,000 nether stars) should have at the very least a $20,000 per hour profit. If anybody has faster ways in which to farm, I would love to hear it.
