What you're saying is that a crappy but expensive market is better than a thriving gunpowder market. For bones, you're right, I don't see the point of adding bones back, but gunpowder is something I'd like to see return, right now it's basically non-existent and with the recent addition of fireworks I say we need gunpowder in the market.
its only crappy for those who dont use .kit mobs and save there gunpowder i have about 5 stacks atm when i get back into game having a few rare markets is a good thing this is hardcore eco not everything handed to you on silver plater is it not
Even for those with /kit mobs, it's still crappy. If gunpowder were to sell for $100 ea, that would mean $500 a day from gunpowder. If gunpowder stays as rare as it now, we will be completely depleted of gunpowder. For those people who spent the time and money to set up a fireworks display, that time and money is now wasted. You keep bringing up the whole "Hardcore Economy" thing, which I am all for. But the gunpowder market right now, isn't "Hardcore", it's "Worthless." Putting gunpowder into soul sand, and allowing it to only be dug up in the nether, would still make it very valuable. Not everyone has nether access, and not everyone wants to risk being attacked by another user, or falling in lava to get it.
You have 5 stacks, it would take 2 months to get that much with /kit mobs It's not even hardcore any more, it's nothing, the gunpowder market literally crashed to the point where no one buys it any more. Even if gunpowder sells for $200 a piece, it's only $1000 a day. While with the mcmmo drops the market thrived, people actually bought the things because they're not ridiculously overpriced, it was worth it to sell gunpowder to other people.

I have got about 1 stack of gunpowder from chests in the mining world, but apart from that there is no other way for me to get it at a reasonable price. +1
Yes. And also there's not a TON but there is some soul sand, so you need to look for it a little. And gunpowder isn't exactly "worthless" yes its now "hardcore" but.... People are either saving their gunpowder for no reason (me) and some people are selling it for a high price(not me). More people are saving it for a reason (or no reason). Leaving gunpowder sort of "worthless" but really its sort of expensive. Still. 1 /kit mobs can get about 1 firework and everyone isn't on for 24 hours.
Gunpowder is like cactus now-a-days...locked in a chest, rarely sold, and if it is sold, at really high prices... Perhaps it should be added to soul sand, but only in a limited way. When you dig gravel and get flint, it destroys the gravel block. When you dig dirt and get glowstone, you don't loose the dirt block. If gunpowder was added to soul sand, yet the soul sand block was destroyed when you found gunpowder, people couldn't farm it as easy.
I think the reason that most jobs for disabled was the Discourage people from using gravel drops there for that's why most gravel the way andrew has it is illegal to stop lag.
