    You are not the original owner who filed the town's application, though. According to https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/president-application.102392, the neighbouring town Thessaly is originally owned by @TheAthenien. They are the original applicant of the town, so they need to approve the town placement. Since they have been inactive since 2014, it is unlikely they will approve. The alternative would be to move your future town 15 blocks away in order to avoid the town border rules.
