Let me explain

1 - if a teacher said you could use the internet to find your answers, then either that teacher is in need of being fired, or you are lying about it. Period.

2 - these are 5th grade math questions, 6th grade at best. This means that likely you are just lying to try to get people on your side. Go learn the concepts and stop trying to cheat.

1 - I have 4 kids, from 8 to 18. Using the internet for ANY reason to find answers to questions is counter-productive. I can find the answers to all of these questions within seconds using google, that does not help me LEARN the concepts behind the questions (which is what homework is about, reinforcing learned concepts to commit them to memory).

If I caught any of my kids pulling this crap they would be grounded and I would be removing their internet access permanently.

2 - I don't think you meant "take home testes" - that would be .... awkward. That said, if this is a take home TEST, then it is meant to TEST your knowledge of the subject matter, not TEST your ability to use google.

 

Well, I would gladly like to talk to him, as a student, teachers that do this tick me off so much that they should be fired.
I suggest you do NOT listen to him and do your OWN work, in the long run it will pay off.
Let me tell you, Algebra and maths don't get any easier.

 

The answer to the last problem is this:
The ages are 5,7

They are consecutive odd integers because the numbers are odd and if you count using odd numbers you get 5 and 7, and 5x7 is 35

11. x-1 over 6=1 over x find the root (this one needs clarification on the equation, but I think the first one is what you have)

for (x - 1)/6 = 1/x
x = 3
x = -2

for x - 1/6 = 1/x
x = -.920133
x = 1.0868

12. x squared-7x=18 find the root == 2 and -9

write a quadratic equation in the form ax squared+bx+c=0 fi the roots are:

17. A plant bed is to be built in the shape of a rectangle. The length of the bed os tp be 5 meters more than the width. If the total are for the bed equals 36 square meters, find the number of meters in the width and length

Length = 9 meters
Width = 4 meters


18. The ages of two brothers are consecutive odd integers. If the younger brother's age multiplied by the older brother's age is 35, fid the ages of both brothers.

Younger brother = 5
Older brother = 7

To be honest, I would tell a mod to lock this thread kidwhocantdohomework.
People are just trolling, and giving you wrong answers. It's ok if you don't understand 1 or 2 questions, so you ask for help, however, paying people in-game money to do your math homework is unacceptable. The whole purpose of homework is to re-teach your brain what you leaned in school. What others are trying to explain is that you are showing others that you are too lazy and not-devoted (lol - I need a word for that!) to your schoolwork, and that you don't care about it. In order to be successful in school, do your homework, instead of having others do it for you.

To summarize...

1. Do your own homework.
2. Do your own homework
3. You should do your own homework.

I actually did give him correct answers (I did the work myself, and I would turn those answers in as correct myself). I am just sick of telling this kid he needs to stop cheating (himself, the work, etc) and decided he will get the answers anyway, might as well get the 3k myself.

Also, I want the thread locked - so answering the questions is a good way to do that.

I love how you just got through telling him that using others' answers are bad, and then you go ahead and give them to him.

I got sick of headbutting a brick wall. Like I said, he will get them somewhere eventually. The questions are not hard, and I might as well capitalize on his laziness and lack of perseverance. That 3k is mine for 6 minutes of work.
