Okay I just came back after breaking my ores, and yes, ore demand is as dead as I thought, I was expecting a truely player-based economy, but there isnt any demand for non-ores iron/gold/redstone/lapiz/emeralds/diamonds also no demand for iron and gold ores (since they dont give exp) Server ore economy summarized: buy ores from new players who still dont have a fortune pick and supply them ingots/diamonds until they got it [END] Im not saying than this ore server-based economy sucks, but it could be way better if you guys make diamond iron and gold worth to use for players, there are LOT of ways to make them more valuable, For diamonds its easy: disable ereps (or put a cool down on it, like 30min cool down, so owners would still be able to use it to repair their tools/armor and could even sell ereps, but not giving it free to everyone) For ingot: make them able to get an higher unbreaking level (for the same exp as diamond 3 unbreaking) so they could last half as diamond unbreaking 3 and be 3 times cheaper to repair. For gold: make them able to get level 4-5 fortune (for an higher exp price than diamonds fortune 3) they wouldnt last too much but will be worth to break ores like diamonds, emeralds (and maybe lapiz ores) Also (Im not sure if this one is possible or viable) enchantings could now cost exp+lapiz, like 8k exp + 50 lapiz gem for silk touch
He's not lying. It just so happens we met when I was starting to build a new tree farm like I had seen in several places. I showed him how it was supposed to work, but I was only level 150 or so from occasional use of tree chopping. I showed him tree feller, and he was hooked. He helped me grow the tree farm probably 6 times the original size...then he started taking speed potions to make leveling even faster. After months of playing and being less than 200 in woodcutting, I'm over 500 now in just a few days, too. (I'm not quite as obsessed; I don't use potions, I run several towns, and have been working at my skele spawner.) But, in a week, I could easily have been over 650.
The City of Epicure will announce our plan to address these issues unilaterally in the near future. If not the staff, then someone must take the initiative.
I did about 180 levels of woodcutting yesterday without speed potions. I made it to level 600. You get 3 levels every 5 minutes. So, it's not really that hard.
I'm sorry but disabling ereps is simply an awful idea. Any money spent on star tools would basically be wasted.
