However there are much more safer & significant ways to making money. That’s the risk you run with spawner setups and I wouldn’t suggest it. You can farm chorus, without the need of any special tool. It doesn’t require any setup or farm.

 

-1 Andrew is generally a generous guy and usually does do some sort of compensation during days upon days of downtime. iirc, he's dropped huge discount codes, reduced feature costs, extended event times, reset kit cooldowns, and even delayed the mining world reset one time. He did all of this without anyone asking for it.

While it sucks that people are not making money because of said downtime, this suggestion kind of feels like begging/borderline demanding compensation for something out of staff's control. Plus, how would one determine who is active or not for said compensation.

I understand the frustration, but let the man fix the server without worrying about this stuff.

Sorry to say that, but Andrew does a lot for us, even beyond what any of us know. Let's not ask/demand more. If he decides to compensate for the downtime, he should do it because he wanted to, not because we asked for it.

 

I'm down with a weekend of cray cray lotto and no taxes during that time :)

 

-1 honestly not necessary. Out of server control and gets fixed when it gets fixed.

 

-1 MN is/was there for a reason. While it is a major inconvenience to not be able to use our /magichour kits and the like while main was down, there was still money making opportunity on MN during the downtime. Creative people were quick to start selling max tools and the like when they realized main was gonna be down for and extended time frame.
I think the best approach would be to extend mining world reset for at least 2-3 days to compensate for the people who had setups on Main.

-1. It's a game! Things happen. And the work needed to figure out exactly who lost what would be unnecessarily intensive. Plus as pointed out Andrew usually adds perks without asking anyway, although this really should not be expected of him.

I struggle to believe this is a serious suggestion especially in light of what Andrew has revealed he was going through - 1 from me.
If the loss of a few ecd over some downtime is a huge issue, consider covering your losses and supporting the server at the same time by buying a couple of personal magic hours.

Just to reiterate my point I stated, Andrew gave us a free magic day for Black Friday/Thanksgiving/prob partially for server down time, and I doubt he's seen this suggestion yet. Y'all need to give the man some faith and really stop basically demanding free stuff because of uncontrollable server issues, especially since this past one was considered more minor compared to other ones in the past.

 

Maybe not everyone is aware of what Andrew is going through?
