is there a way for fishing to get more EXP? im not sure on the mechanics but if they were able to buff exp from fishing that could also result in more $
Why not just buff tropical fish.. Yeah it will make magic rods even more op but meh it’s only for 2 days a month. Can’t do any more damage then it already is.. but yeah I do agree fishing sucks… Always has.. lol
I see the logic, but that would buff magic rods significantly since they can only fish puffer and tropical fish
Granted. The problem is with trying to maintain a balance with Magic… It’s really the players without that are suffering. If it bumps up there chances by a few extra k an hour and at the same time bumps up Magic it won’t really change anything..
I mean if they "usually" repel salmon/cod that still means they'll be disproportionately buffed by puffer/tropical buffs. That doesn't really change.
Fishing is also heavily dependent on certain factors.. Using a boat, Biomes, weather.. etc.. These all give a slight buff to Lure chances and on specific fish type. If you want to farm tropical fish then make sure you are in a warm biome in a boat especially in rain. I was getting hits pretty fast. If you are standing still fishing on land, especially a man made farm, you will not get the same results as you would with the buff above.
Fished with star rod. 1 hour. 295 cod @3.50 each = $1,032 192 salmon @8.40 each = $1,612 42 pufferfish @ 105 each = 4,410 10 tropical fish @175 each = $1,750 Total = ~$8000 ecd per hour. Total fish caught: 539, average of ~ 9 fish per minute with star rod ~ 1-2 nether star worth of exp So, if it was to be based on Minecraft stats I should have gotten 60% Cod = 323 @ 3.50 = $1,130 25% Salmon = 135 @8.40 = $1,131 13% Pufferfish = 70 @ 105 = $7,340 2% Tropical = 10.7 @ 175 = $1,872 ~ 11.5k So although my 8k earnings was on the lower side bc of the low pufferfish, this 11.5k number is still ridiculously low if u were to get a balanced amount of fish at 9 fish per minute.
+1 though I think many sell hand prices should be changed. Products of fishing are simply not up to par with the other money making alternatives.
