I'm not suggesting you remove the cool down entirely, because I understand that would cause spam. having this feature would be great for ppl who actually use the auction to sell their merch. big +1 from me agree that 5 mins is a pain in the ass when u actually have stuff to sell
I stopped using it because of the cool down. But I understand the need. If a feature gets abused you can still lose it so yeah still plus I've from me.
Yeah, andrew said this entire thing (not my suggestion here specifically) would never happen. That was 8 months ago. Maybe he'll say the same, maybe he won't.
thank you captain obvious I like this but I'd rather grow it to be a full "Merchant" feature with some other stuff in the basket.
Im just stating the obvious because some people seem to think the feature will be abused. So if its so obvious, i dont understand why everyone seems to think it will be abused, it wont be because people will have their feature taken away when they abuse it lol.
So I've just done a lot of rethinking on this suggestion, and I've come to the same conclusion. No matter what I do, there will be a queue rush by patrons/those who can bypass. Even if I limit the queue to 1, people will create macros to keep their next planned auction at the top of the list, essentially destroying auctions for users without the feature/patron. There is absolutely no way to properly make this suggestion happen without negative side effects. I will however semi-approve this suggestion, and go with slicing the auction cool down in half. This means it is now 2.5 minutes. As an auction lasts 1 minute, you only have to wait an extra 1.5 minutes to get your next one queued up. This is THE BEST I will do on the discussion of auction cool down. @ClarinetPhoenix please update the wiki where necessary.
