+1. Would be good to have on the advertisements. It wouldn't hurt to just have a little section for pvp.
We actually had one pre-reset, we should bring it back or something. I know Andrew's not wanting to focus on PvP at all, but at least having a little arena couldn't hurt. +1
-1 unless you can die and lose your stuff in PvP. No point of having a PVP arena where someone can log, tp out, or have features preventing them from dying or losing their stuff. On another note bring back sg and put it in the main world right by spawn.
+1, I would love a PvP arena, but this will probably never be accepted because it could only really happen by fixing SG, which I assume if off the table. There are three major problems with just making an arena on main 1. Magic Armor 2. Magic Crossbow 3. The [Disconnect] button 4. Tombstone As far as I know solving each of those would require at least minimal custom work, which is just not happening for the sake of PvP
+1 We had 4 PvP arena's pre-reset so adding them wouldn't be difficult in that regard. In regards to it being unfair due to perks and whatnot, well that's on the players. If you're not willing to risk it all when stepping into a public arena, then that's where private arena's come into play. Having a public arena just gives the newer players something to dink around in.
+0 on one hand, I can see the benefits, especially since it is easy to make a quick area with PVP enabled, but on the other hand, a main world PVP would be kind of redundant since the people who would use it are newer players w/o features, and even if we have veteran players use it, it would be unfair with features.
To be quite honest we spent about 2 months building several pvp arenas last reset and even had stuff set up on them that allowed for fair play and clean inventories. They were hardly ever used. I'm not inclined to put time and energy into PvP Arenas again just to see them go unused. I will continue to occasionally incorporate PvP into my events program via VMR and other main server events. We just aren't a pvp server and arenas on the Main server where features and powerful tools are a thing just isn't a true pvp experience.
