This PvP arena would be an ECC provided PvP arena not owned by any other user or located in any specific user town and would allow access to all players. The PvP arena would also prohibit the use of as many donation features as possible while in the PvP zone itself (though I know there are a few features that can not be disabled, if not all of them). The idea would be to have a central location, with open access through spawn, for players who wish to engage in PvP of some level and provide a funnel of concentration for PvP to occur rather than be spread out over multiple user-run PvP arenas in multiple town locations. WHAT THIS SUGGEST IS NOT: This suggestion is not stating to implement a separate PvP world for PvP combat. There was a suggestion like this long ago that was implemented that resulted in the PvP world, which did not see much action for long. This suggestion is just to add a decent sized arena for users to PvP at their own discretion while still being linked to the main server world.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: This is a good suggestion for EcoCityCraft because it adds a small PvP arena for users, both new and old, who wish to engage in PvP as a form of money making or simply for the fun of PvPing with others in a centralized location. Also, though the server is not yet 1.14, there is the implementation of the grindstone which will allow for users to disenchant items for exp. This adds all the more desire for PvPers to battle for each others gear and disenchant the winnings in order to purchase nether stars. However, this idea is only a small contribution.Other information: Back in the older days of ECC, before PvP arenas were allowed to be made in towns, ECC had a small PvP arena provided by the server where users would go to for PvP, just as this suggestion provides. Through this PvP arena, ECC began to see multiple users who had an interest in PvPing for making money and eventually it became a good source of income for many players on the server. It effectively allowed ECC to reel in a specific type of player group that was previously not on the server and thus expanding the overall diversity and player count.Plugin or custom addition: I believe all required plugins/additions to make this suggestion happen are already implemented on the server.One suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1 I think that a centralized pvp that even new players can find is huge for ecc. It would help encourage newer players that are interested in pvp to continue playing the server, and would benefit the economy as a whole.
We are still waiting on Andrew deciding what he is doing with PvP I believe so for now just use Town PvP Arenas. You can make a list of rules for a town PvP Arena and enforce them I believe. -1
An official 1000x1000 server events town has already been established/flattened out and plans have been drawn out that include a sizable chunk of the town being devoted to PvP arena(s) accessible to all. More details will be forthcoming soon in that regard, including possibly commissioning members of the community to build the arenas.
Once our staff team get's the building event and arenas made/placed, I'll look into what I can do to implement EcoCityCraft's economy & prestige system around it. For now, the ball is in the @STAFF-04 Server Admin 's court. Marked as In-Progress.

@andrewkm Slowly but surely. Mostly its slowly because we're attempting to build an interesting but multi-aspect arena that could accommodate all forms of pvp, getting something to flow together is quite the project. We decided to go with a mini-city theme with an underground. This adds more elements and more ground-space inside what area we have, 100x100. We decided to go with a ruins style, to make the map less uniform and to add a parkour aspect, as well as buildings of different shapes and sizes. We also have an underground planned as well. There is a main ravine which spreads across the map and shows with "void scars" in several different places, the underground void will have hidden areas and connect to some of the underground network beneath the buildings. Still have a lot of work to do and a lot of ideas to implement as well as solidify the flow and structure of the map. We're getting there.
@andrewkm We're currently tying up a few loose ends with the arena as well as editing builds to create a consistent theme and integrate aspects like parkour and a proper environment for that. We expect to be finished quite soon and you can check out progress that has been made already via /warp pvp.
Big changes made to the map this week cause I had an idea and we've really pushed to get a lot done. We are definitely in the stages of finalizing the builds and putting in the details. We also still need to build a wall, har har.
PvP arena has been built and is activated via the warp. PvP functions and prestige implementation will be worked on after the Main North project is online.
