I’ve never had an issue finding ice. Usually there are enough on the server with /kit water that would prob give you a stack or just get a silk pic/shovel and farm away. I always farm a few stacks of packed ice with a silk pick whenever I find a spike biome as well to auction. I’m sure if you ask around you can get a good amount for pretty cheep or even free. If I’m on just pm me and I’ll give you as much as you can want.. I have homes set all over mining and a silk pic.

My guess is that it’s turned off due to lag maybe? Not sure. I doubt it’s worth the work to activate it to be honest.

 

I have found it is actually rather difficult to buy ice, especially in bulk. For me, who has a snowy town, I would rather that ice formed either way, not just for the farming aspect. +1 for now though there may be a good reason it is not enabled currently

I find plenty of it all over mining and in the wild..

Maybe I need to start selling ice in bulk.

 

I will not be changing our ice settings for undisclosed reasons.
