2. lwc to unlock the chest

The wild should be safe to lock your chests in. If you really want to remove lwc, place a town there. (In case I plan an extended leave, put my valuables next to my town in locked chests.)

 

The point is that there needs to be a place where your stuff can't get lwc'd. Towns can be claimed.

 

The purpose of LWC's is to remove a lock to get something out of the way, not get you free stuff. -1

I can understand you wanting to clear up the landscape but here are my thoughts on this.

• LWC removal requests are to remove locks to enable you to clear land so that you can build/renovate your town.
  • As there is no town there, the locks are not preventing you from changing your town.
• Who would have the right to remove locks in the wild?
  • There is no town, so no owners of the land to decide what should be done with the land.
• Going back to the purpose of lwc requests, to enable town owners to do as they wish with the land. If you were to place a town over the locks, you then own the land and can have the locks removed as you see fit.

Ultimately, there is no owner of the wild and so you don't have the right to decide what to do with the land.

 

As much as I would love to have the several doors that were troll locked about half a year ago out side my house lwc removed, I don't think it will be possible. Good idea though +1

Instead of trying to find something wrong and saying this is for personal gain and such. I think it's good to see the pros of this instead. I think it's a good way to clear up the landscape and help open up more room so future mayors don't have to file reports. Especially in the regions between towns that won't be claimed. I personally don't see anything wrong here and what people say its wrong are applying this to lwc in towns not in wild, or net picking at certain rules. The fact is the global especially the legacy world is full of these chests and it just makes our server look bad to leave ruins everywhere.
