Agree at first I was all mining and was like "this is going to get old fast" but now I'm 115%addicted
@stigarose I never lag, except occasionally when I cocoa farm for a long time. I use a new Macbook Air, and I have a stable 50 fps, so I think it might be your computer or wifi that is causing you problems.

Without EXTCmds+ or F/S+, it looks like you are able to reach Tier 3 pumpkin farming, with extended speed potions. When you do this, come to me for speed potions on the house, as I have nothing to do with them Also, keep in mind that I give free e-reps! According to the guide, Tier 3 pumpkin farming reaches 14k/h, which isn't half bad. However pumpkin farming for a straight hour, or I find even 10 minutes can get boring. So, like @stigarose said, I used to use a mining strategy called the 'pinhole' method. It looks like Stigarose has offered to show you in-game With the method, you can average around 14k-16k/h of mining, which is definitely less boring than mining pumpkins. For this, you need night-vision potions (which, again, I can also provide), or, you can turn your 'gamma' up manually (and legally) in your ".minecraft" folder. If you use a computer with Windows, I can show you how! However the state of the Mining world right now isn't the best for pinhole mining. But did I mention that the 14k-16k/h is without selling EXP? So, in the late stages of the months, when the Mining world is hollowed, the Rising world is always an easy alternative So, it looks like the averages for pumpkin farming and pinhole mining aren't too far apart. So you can go ahead and choose which you'd rather do. But in my opinion, mining is always the better alternative at the beginning of the month when the Mining world is newly regenerated.
@RandomCat7 can you show me how to pinhole mine in game? I only make 8-12k/hr with a max silk pick, and Im curious how you get so much

Don't need F/S+. You're in the main worlds, you only need regular F/S. I would suggest pumpkins, definitely, but only if your computer doesn't lag, and best to farm in places where people don't farm often, so you get lots of pumpkins instead of getting gaps.
