Then you are missing the point. As someone who has been on here for 3.5 years now I can say that I have seen the same sets of people giving out loans to sketchy or new players and expecting them to pay it back. These are not small loans most of the time they seem to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars with short pay back periods. This is blatantly taking advantage of newer players just because you want to. This type of behavior is childish and non-constructive and is also not what I want to see on this server.
In actual seriousness people are too sensitive and Call everything cyber bullying. In this case here if you take out a loan then it is your responsibility to pay it off. Ljkazrael makes a perfect point with his post showcasing a stereotypical person who thinks anything that doesn't benefit or anything that isn't agreeing is cyber bullying. So essiently I'm mocking spocklin.

Posts mocking other points of view are not needed and do not contribute to the discussion. If you have a point, you can make it without mocking the opposition. If you can't, you don't actually have a point.
One does not need a PhD to understand that taking loans you cant pay back is a bad idea -1. EDIT: I mean its a mine craft server. The entirety of the loans conditions can be summed up in like 3 lines. Its very simple. Giving someone a loan with fake money on a minecraft server is not cyberbullying... But if they do get that upset Seems Legit Yes, deny all builders and residents the ability to take loans because some people cant read. Seems Legit
Am I mocking it? Just said if I had to be mocking someone in this situation it would be spocklin, loaning is a flawed system however there is no reason to make it harder/ not benefit the loaner who risk there money. It's simple, if you take out a loan try your hardest to pay it off. No one is being cyber bullied in that situation. Life isn't fair. So inherently systems are not always 100% "fair". This suggestion is pointless and only makes loaning more unfair towards loaners. The point is, some ideas should not be taken. If you can not mock a little or poke fun a little then I do not want to live in that society. I have nothing against him as a player just the idea he suggested.
No where did I Harrass you, I'm opposing your idea. Like ljk pointed above your now screaming harassment because I disagree. I'm sure your a nice player but this suggestion just is not good. You win some you lose some.
I think Nicit stated how you should build your argument explicitly without mocking someone. In a college or professional setting mocking whoever you are arguing with is extremely rude and in the case of college as I have seen you will be penalized for it. We hold ourselves to a decent standard here on ECC in that regard.
I'm sorry ecc is a college ? There are cases where you should be professional, on a website for a minecraft server is not "professional". There is no way that you can see that in a college setting I would be penalized because there is no direct correlation between situations.
Like it or not this suggestion is has a likelihood of 1 in 100000 of actually being implemented even partially. Also you should always be conducting yourself in a responsible and professional manner when posting here on the forums.
It does have a chance, like you stated it is almost impossible. There should be reforms on how we handle loans however what you have proposed is not what we need and just doesn't help. I do suggest though we give more warnings to new players about not taking loans. But even then that probably won't stop them.
I still think that we should have a way to control those people who give out massive loans to people who can't pay them back. These players all to often give out a loan to an unreliable person and then complain day and night that they did not get their money back and then expect the server to refund them. I have made the choice in my 3.5 years on here to never give out or take a single loan. My money is my own and I prefer not to play with it in a game of chance while lending it out to people who may or may not be able to pay the loan back with interest.
Ok that's great, your right if you are not comfortable loaning don't give out your money. Leave it at that. And yes we do need some control. But I do not see too many players crying for a refund because they lose money, they may complain in global but that's all. In the case of giving to a unreliable person in most situations it's the lenders fault then for not researching enough. This is how it should work, if you lend don't expect it back. If you take out a loan them figure out something that works so you can pay it off.
I'd like to add that most people don't give out loans expecting the person receiving to get banned. If they do give out a 100k loan and the borrower gets banned they pretty much just gave away a free 100k. That benefits no one.
