My suggestion is simply that staff should have their last read date actually read 'yesterday at 1:43pm' or whenever they last checked it, as oppose to the annoying 'N/A' some staff members currently have.
Reasoning being, it's nice to see that staff have actually bothered looking at your forum inbox to them- quick fact, in staff complaints/feedback, 2 of the 5 Server Admin and above team do not have 'N/A' as their last read date, one of which being Jamie, and, with all due respect, staff feedback/complaints are often handled by the actual SA team, not Jamie. So 1 out of 4 have a last read date. It's nice to know the whole team has seen it, digested it and (hopefully) acted upon it.
I don't really understand the need to have 'N/A'- but I'm open to being convinced otherwise :).
Thoughts? (Please try leave a comment with your '+/-1' so I know why you rated it what you did. Thanks)

I mean... I would personally love to see this for all staff, but Jamie himself has stated that there may be security issues. Really depends on whether they're significant enough to warrant not having read dates seen.

Security issues? What kind? I can't think of any that come from having a last read date, they all used to have them before.-

+100000,
I've had an open forum pm with a Server Admin for the last 5-7 days and i've had no reply, i've even asked if he wanted to reply but yeah, i can't tell if he's even read it or not or if he's just rubbering me and wasting time deliberately-

I thought this was a setting you could turn on and off if you had forum gold?

@kukelekuuk00 why have one rule for SA+ and another for the rest of the team? Either allow it or not.

I still think all staff should be required to have an actual last read date :) -
Vintage_Gamer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeI agree with you. It's nice to know staff have acknowledged the message.

I don't see a reason to impose changes on staffmembers when it is not at all necessary. I say SA+ because they're the ones handling staff feedback/complaints and private appeals.

It might be setting up repayments of a loan (from a loan scamming complain resolution/appeal), may be resolving an issue you have, may be resolving an issue you have with them directly and you want to try sort it out with them before it gets worse. All these things would warrant you wanting to see if they had at least looked at the message. -
Vintage_Gamer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeThat doesn't matter. Other people may be messaging them about other issues.

That may be, but whether or not it's critical? Usually a critical issue that requires a read date is sent to the SA+ team. I really don't see the logic of this being a global thing. Especially that it's a paid forum feature that you're asking people to give up to join the staff team.
-
if the paid for the forum premium, they should keep it
if they're on staff without it, they shouldn't get special perks just because their on staff, especially ones that annoy players -

Yes, it's a paid for feature- BUT when you're on staff, people like to see you've at least acknowledged them by reading the message. I don't understand the reason behind having 'N/A' to be totally honest.
Part of being a staff member- especially a high ranking one- is helping the cmmunity and making people feel like they can come to you for help to sort problems, to ask questions. With 'N/A' it gives off the message that you can't really be bothered to help, and if you don't reply in a week it's ok, because they'll never know you only just lookes at it.
