You will be immediately kicked for "Invalid hotbar selection (Hacking?)" You do not get kicked for equipping normal enchanted armor. I suspect it is due to the OP enchants on star armors. Still happening for me with non star armor too, basically exact same steps listed by Squid. So hold shift when the armor is in your hotbar, then right-click in the air to equip it results in a kick with the same error message as listed above.
Super weird, I tried a brand new set of star armor and it happens at least 5x more often when equipping the old armor pieces. You are welcome to take them from my /pv 90 to test. I also have a /hat, but that does not seem to make a difference.
I am unable to reproduce this with that specific armor. I'm going to assume this is an issue on your end with your client.
More specifically it appears to be mousewheelie, I've reported it to the mousewheelie devs as this is happening on other servers, not sure if you narrowed it down to mousewheelie causing you the issues.
