This appears to be the same as this bug, whereas McMMO's leaf blower ability of insta-breaking leaves, nether wart blocks, and warped wart blocks is being triggered by anti-cheat. I do not get kicked for breaking just the logs and stems of trees, but as soon as I start going after leaves and warts I get kicked.
One thing to note to McMMO or anti-cheat devs: Hoes are now used for harvesting leaves, nether wart blocks, warped wart blocks and shroomlights as per this page on vanilla hoe behavior. This was changed in 1.16 with the nether update.
