Minecraft Username: @Mysticgoli123 Brief Description: Kelp farming exp on registering after breaking top kelp Instructions: Break kelp of varying lengths - no exp, break top kelp, get exp How many times did you recreate this?: 10-15 Result: Exp only registering after breaking top kelp Expected Result: Job exp every kelp broken regardless of where it is broken Evidence: Can be provided if necessary
This is actually a config setting. I left it at paying for just 1 block to start. As part of my next examination of the leveling progression for Jobs I'll look into whether I want to change that setting.
@ClarinetPhoenix, i tested this with Mystic and he has worded it different. If any kelp block is broken other than top kelp, no exp or reward is given. any kelp of age 3 or more will not give reward unless top kelp is broken only. If second from bottom is broken, as is often the case for kelp farming, nothing happens in terms of jobs. In short, to actually receive a reward for kelp farming, you would be limited to doing a 2 block high kelp farm.
I see the frustratuon, but as a dedicated task builder I have no problem with this. Would make an excelent market opportunity!
This, was due to a config oversight. I have added kelp_plant to all the farmer jobs and breaking those blocks should count towards your farmer jobs now. As for the pay-for-above issue that Mystic originally reported. I've found there are some issues with it not awarding correctly that I need to examine in detail and get fixed before I enable the setting. I will be doing that in the next day or two.
Yeah it’s fixed for our current config setting. The bug I talked about reporting (and have reported) to the dev is only an issue if I change the setting. I’m leaving things as they are until the dev fixes the payout issues.
We are now running our own branch of Jobs and have now fixed this bug. As such, pay-for-above is now enabled. Kelp/Sugarcane/Bamboo should now pay for the entire stalk broken.
